Planet FPL - The Fantasy Football Podcast

Suj and James kick off EFL Week with an investigation into the finances at Derby County and their narrow escape with a points deduction that would have seen them relegated to League One?

Potential takeovers, Mel Morris' ownership, background and stadium purchase are investigated. Suj drops knowledge bombs on how amortisation works, how Derby manipulated it and why it means they have to resubmit their accounts.

Could Derby yet suffer a points deduction this season?

Did Derby abuse FFP rules or did they simply bend what was permitted within them?

Coming up tomorrow...  The Correspondent Catch-Up with @TheTinkermen, @FPL_Terrier and @FPL_Blade

On their first podcast of a series of specials this week with some of the FPL Community's most popular content creators, Suj and James caught up with one of FPL's great minds Pranil Sheth, @Lateriser12 on Twitter, to discuss his amazing history playing Fantasy Football, how his Podcast The FPL Wire started up and lessons learned from a difficult FPL Season.  Could it be that content creators are suffering declines in FPL overall ranks because the game is no longer the main focus? Plus, we discuss template players we can go against in GW1 and those that we perhaps shouldn't and why India have not yet produced a tournament qualifying international team...

On today's Podcast it's FPL By Dummies...

"I've got a bad feeling about this, a brand new FPL season brings with it the fresh opportunity for the hopes of fantasy football glory to be dashed for the Three Dummies (Josh, Cam and Tom), but with our appetite for punishment suitably replenished, we are back.

This week we first discuss our full range of emotions surrounding England's European cup final performance; sadness, depression... is full blown tears an emotion? And talk about the atrocious and embarrassing abuse received after the game by our England boys.

We then turn our focus to this seasons FPL assets with our usual podcast segment "Snog, Marry, Avoid!" and discuss who we think some of the standout players could be for the upcoming FPL season... Apart from Charlie Taylor of course!"
