Planet FPL - The Fantasy Football Podcast

Suj & James complete Day 2 of Correspondent Week with the returning Stephen Toumi to discuss all things Watford as The Hornets aim to establish themselves again as a Premier League outfit.

There are ten Watford forwards listed in FPL, but are any of them any good? Perhaps, a couple of them might be unknown or under the radar but what does Stephen think of the prospects of the exciting Ismaila Sarr who currently sits in the drafts of botn Suj & James?

The Hornets had an incredible record during their promotion campaign, and with an attractive set of opening fixtures defensive assets should be considered too but who's likely to start at the back and who's the standout FPL asset?

Suj & James welcome Ricky Saunders to discuss all things Tottenham Hotspur on Correspondent Week Episode 5 and it's impossible to escape the prospect of Harry Kane leaving the club.

Recorderd before Kane failed to show for training yesterday the lads speculate on what Tottenham may look like without Harry Kane and the possible impact on Heung-Min Son.

Dele Alli is having a good pre season (again!), can he rediscover the form of a few years ago or is there an alternative FPL option within the squad at a similiar price who is worthy of greater attention?

Nuno's Espirito Santo's likely tactics discussed, if Tottenham defensive assets are worth considering, transfer targets and find out what Ricky dares only whisper and James's bold prediction...

Suj & James kick off Day 2 of Correspondent Week with Jack Toner to discuss all things Burnley with the new season kick off only 10 days away.

Squad depth gives Jack some cause for concern, particularly in the wide areas and could James Tarkowski leave before the transfer window closes with only a year left on his contract?

Chris Wood looks the clear talisman but doubts are raised about if he will start in GW1 and could injury rule Nick Pope out too?

But there are positives, Jack clarifies who he thinks would be best for FPL out of Matt Lowton and Charlie Taylor, if Josh Brownhill really could be a gem of a fifth midfielder choice and with Sean Dyche still in charge The Clarets will hope to defy expectations again.

But it could be a bigger month off the field with new additions needed... will the club's new owners invest in the squad...?

Day 1 of Planet FPL's Correspondent Week concludes with Simon Bibby joining Suj & James to discuss all things about Si's club Newcastle United.

Is it a case of Callum Wilson or nothing from an FPL perspective? The case is made for Newcastle's talisman and a there's a warning that his consistency shouldn't neccessary be overlooked.

There's frustration about the classification of some of the FPL assets but there could be some cheap enablers who appeal (The Sports Direct bench!), but there is an ongoing Goalkeeper crisis to be conscious of.

And the proposed Takeover of the club will drag on until at least 2022 and Steve Bruce looks set to stay as manager. Si gives his opinion on why it's likely to be same old, same old for his club this season... but should we be taking more note of their brilliant and almost unnoticed end of season form...?

Suj & James are joined by Bradley Parker on the latest Correspondent Week Podcast to discuss all things Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Could Rayan Ait-Nouri remain out of position on the left wing when the season starts? Will he even start at all and are there better defensive options among the squad?

New additions Jose Sa, Yerson Mosquera and Francisco Trincao are discussed, can Morgan Gibbs-White break into the team to offer a golden 4.5 midfield option? And can RFaul Jimenez return as good as before?

An amazing fixture swing from GW4 is eyed and the likely tactics of new manager Bruno Lage are detailed...

On the first of twenty podcasts this week as part of the Planet #FPL Correspondent Week Suj & James welcome reigning Correspondent mini league Champion and Manchester City fan Jonny Pringle on to the Podcast to discuss The Premier League Champions.

Are Jack Grealish and Harry Kane on their way to The Etihad? And what would be the impact if they did?

The squad is covered, FPL prospects discussed and again the fear of rotating assets are debated.

Who is the best value defensive asset? Cancelo? Dias? Stones?

Can FPL managers trust any of the midfielders to lock down a regular spot? Can Mahrez or Torres offer differential value?

And the Pod starts with a discussion on the Champions League Final, the City view on Pep Guardiola's tactical tweak and if it cost them the Final...

Suj & James investigate the influence of Parachute Payments in The Championship and ask if it is distorting the competitiveness of The Championship?

How parachute payments work and how they came to be are uncovered and the pros and cons of having them in place are discussed.

Should and can Parachute Payments be scrapped?

And could it be that the hidden agenda isn't that they're there to help clubs relegated to The Championship, but simply to maintain the competitiveness of the Premier League...?

On this Podcast James caught up with three of the Planet #FPL correspondents to discuss their clubs ahead of their campaign in The Championship. This is three short Podcasts rolled into one.

Firstly James speaks to Dara Curran about Fulham's squad depth, the impact of the leaving loanees from last season, being a yo-yo club and new manager Marco Silva.

Then it's the turn of Mark Skowran and Huddersfield's hopes for the new season, if they should be worried about a drop into League One & if it feels like their Premier League adventure ever happened.

Finally James speaks to Ben 'Tommo' Thompson about Sheffield United's hopes of an imminent return to the Premier League under Slavisa Jokanovic & the bonus of keeping the majority of the squad together.

Plenty of notes in this Podcast that may aid those playing Gaffr The Championship Fantasy game this season.
