Planet FPL - The Fantasy Football Podcast

Suj & James review the opening weekend in FPL where Bruno Fernandes and Mo Salah went big and they were supported by many other popular players, particularly among Twitter's FPL Community.

Every game reviewed, every team assessed, tactical pointers and early thoughts of plans for GW2....

Suj & James kick off the final build-up to the new Fantasy Premier League season with the launch of Season 5 of Planet #FPL and on this Podcast the lads focus on strategy and players of interest ahead of Friday's deadline.

James takes us through chip strategy for the season looking at popular times to use the Bench Boost, Free Hit & Triple Captain chips and there's good news for many as it will likely be easier to navigate the season with chips than in 2020/21.

There's discussion about when to use the first wildcard and there are suggested 'Chelsea' and 'Manchester United' Wildcard slots and there's a A-W team run through of who is on the guys watchlist for their FPL teams...

Coming Up on Planet FPL tomorrow... Suj & James welcome Advanced Tier mini league winner Calin Mates to the show to debate their latest drafts and how best to play FPL in the opening weeks...

We've made it to the end of Correspondent Week! And on the final Podcast Suj & James are joined by Tom Medd to get all the detail on the Premier League's newest addition Brentford.

Ivan Toney is proving very popular for FPL managers and appeals at 6.5 with a good opening and he's a likely shoe-in for Tom's team, but is he the only Brentford player of interest?

Tom takes us through details on the squad, what we can expect from the new signings and who he expects to start for The Bees for their opening night fixture against Arsenal...

Coming up next on Planet FPL... our launch of Planet FPL Season 5 with Episode 1 taking a look at who's on our Watchlist following Correspondent Week and we'll be discussing Chip Strategy for the season...

The final Day of Correspondent Week begins with Dan Lord joining Suj & James to talk all things Liverpool as The Reds aim to win back the Premier League.

And they will be boosted by the return of Virgil Van Dijk but will the towering Dutchman start in GW1? And going forward who is most likely to partner Van Dijk?

Mo Salah is likely to be heavily backed and captain for many in GW1, but is there any case to go with Sadio Mane instead? And does Diogo Jota offer a great early season option at only 7.5?

And we're back to the Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andrew Robertson debate... can James bear to go without both...?

Ted Maw is Suj & James' guest on the final Day 6 Podcast of Correspondent Week to discuss all things Chelsea at a time when it is looking creasing likely that Romelu Lukaku might return to the club.

Does Lukaku make Chelsea title contenders? Are they expected to challenge even without him?

Ted explains the difficulty in predicting Chelsea's opening weekend line-up and with Crystal Palace at home there is a will from many to punt a Blues player or two in FPL, but is it worth it with a very difficult looking spell after the opening game?

The ridiculous squad depth is assessed, why from GW7 it may be all-in on Chelsea assets and there's also a discussion on the academy and why some of The Blues brightest youngsters are leaving the club...

Suj & James welcome Leicester City correspondent Aaron Lagor onto the Podcast ahead of the Foxes trip to Wembley for the Community Shield and the build up has been disrupted by an injury to one of their brightest prospects.

Wesley Fofana was set to be a big part of the discussion but a serious injury suffered on Wednesday night looks likely to rule him out until 2022 and with Jonny Evans also doubtful for GW1 there's suddenly concern about The Foxes defensively. But has the appeal of Kasper Schmeichel, Caglar Soyuncu or the full backs increased because of it?

Are players linked away likely to stay?

Is Harvey Barnes back up to fitness to offer FPL mangers an exciting mid price option with attractive opening fixtures?

And there's a discussion about the system and it looks like Leicester could be reverting to a back four, which could be bad news for one of the forwards, but good news for another...
