My guest today is KP Khalsa — a practitioner, teacher, writer, and consultant with over 40 years of experience in holistic medicine, and a former president of the American Herbalist Guild.
KP is a state-certified dietitian, nationally recognized herbalist, and nationally certified massage therapist, and he’s nationally credentialed to teach herbalism, yoga, and bodywork, including Ayurvedic massage.
He’s the founder of the International Integrative Education Institute, faculty at schools including Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences and Bastyr University, and the author of over 3,000 published health articles and more than 30 books, including his latest, The Way of Ayurvedic Herbs, co-authored with Michael Tierra. He’s also served as senior research scientist and chief medical formulator for Yogi Tea.
In this conversation, KP shares how a single yoga class in college gave him five pain-free minutes after years of daily pain — and how that moment set him on a path through Ayurveda, herbal medicine, and natural healing that changed the trajectory of his health entirely.
