God is a God of second chances ... and of reaching even the furthest nations. Listen in as we considere how He used Jonah's second chance to bring about one of the greatest missionary success stories in history!

Though the Lord's Prayer begins by reminding us that we ought to pray, first of all, for the sake of God's name, and God's kingdom, and God's will ... Jesus goes on to remind us that it is right and good to pray for our own needs as well! Specifically, we are to pray even for our most mundane requests. None of them are so small as to be beneath our father's concern. Listen in as we consider how to pray for "our daily bread."

"To everything there is a season" (KJV). A time for birth, and for death; for embracing, and for parting ways; for mourning, and for dancing; for war, and for peace. Life is so changeable. But God is sovereign over the changes ... and can be trusted in every season of life. Listen in as we consider how and why.Note that, while the inital scripture reading is taken from, and the sermon is primarily preached from the NASB, Ecclesiastes 3.1 is sometimes quoted in the more familar King James Version.

Jesus teaches us to pray to our Father: "Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven." Do we really pray for these things? And what does it mean to pray for God's kingdom and will? Listen in as we consider these questions together.

"Great is Thy faithfulness." We love to sing those words - especially during this season of warm fires, hot apple cider, and the approach of the holidays. And we should sing them in these times of blessing! But we should also note that Jeremiah first wrote these famous words in a season of "wormwood and bitterness." Even then he could say to the Lord: "Great is Thy faithfulness." As we listen to him, we are reminded why we, too, can praise God in the hard times. Listen in!

Every child of God has something inside him or herself that says: 'I want to talk to the Lord.' But how do we do it? What does God want us to say? And how do we say it? Jesus answers these questions in what we usually call 'the Lord's Prayer,' giving us a marvelous template for the kinds of things that ought to be important to us when we communicate with "our Father who is in heaven." "Can these bones live?" That was God's question to Ezekiel concerning the lifeless and dried out souls of the Jewish exiles. Could they really serve the Lord again? Could they ever again be what God intended them to be? We could ask the same question of churches, individuals, and cultures who are dried out and distracted; who are no longer what they once were. "Can these bones live?" Listen in as we search out the answer from Ezekiel 37.

"My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?" Surely no one ever asked God such a dfficult question. But why would Jesus have asked it? And did He mean it? And if so, what is the answer to the question? Listen in as we ponder these things together.
