Hello from the PMT hosts, Laura and Hobert! We have some exciting news to share with you, so listen to this brief announcement, won’t ya?

In this PMT / Ya We Read It / NPC Incorporated triple crossover, DM Hobert leads his PMT Co-Host Laura through an introductory D&D adventure with the help of YA We Read It’s Meggie Gates and real-life bard Nick Olson. After coming up with their characters, the team joins the Knights of the Red Plume to go on a D&D adventure pitched by the cast of NPC Incorporated. Will they prove themselves worthy of sitting with King Tony at the upcoming Feast Games? Or will our heroes get drunk, try to start fires and flirt with everyone in town? Tune in for an exciting tale that asked “why not both?”

PMT host Laura is once again joined by her YA We Read It co-host and best friend Meggie to watch the second Hunger Games movie. Tune in as they talk all the things they loved and hated in this adaptation as they are the self-appointed authority on young adult book to screen adaptations. In this episode, Mike and Hobert wade into the sloggy mythology of Marvel’s Eternals to see if they can pull anything fun out of the mire of the plodding big budget beam-fest. Get ready to ditch the Marvel trappings and confusing meditations on godhood in favor of a high and tight stand-alone story about super people who can form into one big golden guy who punches dogs.

Once again (in association with Laura's other podcast YA, We Read It!) Laura and her co-host Meggie sit down to celebrate the end of their third season by watching the web-series adaption of the Private Series by Kate Brian. You may be wondering how well a 1.5 hour web-series from the late aughts can capture the first four books of the fourteen book series, and as you may guess: not very well!!! Tune in as the two discuss how they would tackle adapting the series for screen and do it the justice it deserves. 

Laura and Hobert sit down with their draft of “Woman Pranks Boyfriend With Pregnancy Test, You Won’t Believe What Happens Next” for a read-through and discussion of the next steps in their short film experiment/experience. Tune in to hear how the story has changed in the writing room, some ideas for casting and producing with a budget in the high 10s, and Hobert continuously pitching that one of the main characters should be a talking snake.
