In this new PMT Miniseries, Hobert and Mike sit down to tear apart a movie they didn’t like so they can put it back together. They’re not script doctors, they’re script butchers. In this episode, the Rowdy Rip Boys(tm) take a look at Space Jam: A New Legacy, a movie seemingly written by ad execs who didn’t really like the Looney Tunes for the accounting firm that manages Warner Bros.’s catalog. Get ready to hit the court to improve “Space Jam 2” with 100% more basketball, a dead family, and our personal guarantee that Bugs Bunny dies permanently. Come on and Jam!
On the day of his hundredth birthday, business magnate Jerry Simon looks back at a lifetime spent pursuing his singular obsession: having one birthday as good as his twenty-first. On that magical evening, Jerry was forever changed by a night in Las Vegas and the performance of a dashing magician called Maurice the Magnificent. As Jerry reflects back on his relationship with the man behind the cape, he remembers a lifetime of ups, downs, tricks, mistakes, fights, shows, and magic.

Get ready for pretentious episode titles, an episode that based on the CTA train map, and a destructive finale that never was. Bring out yer dead!!!
Laura and Hobert sit down to try something they’ve never tried before: coming up with a short film idea with the intention to actually make it! Pulling together their collective DIY film experience, they come up with “Prank Video,” a short subject film about a couple making a fake prank video and the underlying tension behind their online facade. Sitting down to watch a beloved classic, Laura and her best friend Meggie, embark on the ultimate journey in rewatching The Matrix (1999). A movie which neither of them have seen in a very long time in preparation for the coming continuation of the franchise in 2022. This time capsule of a movie somehow captures sci-fi in the 90s in a way they never could have imagined, and just like the Matrix, you can experience it for yourself by tuning into this minisode.
After falling down an elevator shaft on what was supposed to be his last day, office drone Greg awakes to find he is now a ghost, seemingly doomed to forever haunt the halls of his lackluster desk job. Greg passes his time creating minor inconveniences for his former co-workers until Whitney, a new employee with occult aspirations, half-seriously performs a cleanse to rid the office’s notorious bad vibes. While the cleanse doesn’t manage to send Greg to the Other Side, it does allow Whitney to suddenly see and hear Greg, and hijinks (and a little romance) ensue as the pair of lost souls band together to decide how they want to spend their (real and metaphysical) overtime.

In this Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response Movie Review, Hobert takes an auditory look at the Sword and Sorcery classic, Conan the Barbarian. Rewatching the film through the lens of a bored guy who’s been playing way too much D&D, Hobert breaks down the tingly pleasure of the dialogue light, grunting-and-sword-clanging heavy fantasy masterpiece. TO HELL WITH YOU!
Joining Laura for another romantic minisode is her boyfriend Nick. The two are ready to sit down to watch and discuss their next date night movie: Escape Room: Tournament of Champions—a sequel to Escape Room, a movie they watched a few months ago. Can the sequel match the intensity and cleverness of the first? More importantly, is this a good date movie?! And MOST importantly, was it worth the $4.99 rental price?!!?!?!
