Plot Twist, Please!

A Pick-Me recognizes a Pick-Me when they see one. Let’s talk about it.

What’s at the root of insecurity? How do our insecurities affect the people around us? What does the role of community play in healing from neurodivergent childhoods?

Does the idea of main character energy serve the collective good? In this episode, I talk about neurodivergent experiences in the wellness space, BIPOC, and other people in the margins as we navigate individualism in wellness. Lastly, I talk about what role art can play as we grapple with these ideas.

What are the benefits and limitations of "main character energy?"

Hey cousins! Let’s talk about celebrities who have “fallen from grace” recently, including Matt Rife (briefly), Selena Gomez, and others. We’re going to chat about what it means when our parasocial relationships are called into question and what that can mean for collective liberation. Please know that many of the concepts I describe are not my own, but devices introduced by scholars, writers, and advocates whose work has laid down the groundwork for mine. Please leave a review if something resonates with you!

Let’s talk about fatigue. Specifically, compassion fatigue. Is it real?

What is an “energy vampire?” In this episode I explore what it means to cultivate communities that hold us accountable, toxic dynamics, and the difference between the two.

A little bit about Love Is Blind, a little bit about neurodivergence, and a little bit about what community actually means. Is it possible for someone to “deserve” a relationship? Is it true that “no one owes you anything” when it comes to dating? Where do people’s goals for community differ, and where do they intersect?

Let's interrogate the phrase "We're both adults" when it comes to two of its typical areas of application: bullying and age gaps in dating.

What actually is a power dynamic, especially when it pertains to a digital age, neurodivergence, and new definitions of power?
