  • "Racial Progress" and What "Black Men for Trump" Shows Us About Relationships
I cover a lot in this video, folks. Overall, I’m talking about power, what it means when the power is imbalanced in a heterosexual relationship between black men and black women, and who bears the emotional labor in a romantic relationship within a “post-racial” society. ************************************************************* WHO EVEN AM I?

  • An Honest Review of "Love On the Spectrum"
Hey, folks! In this episode, I chat with my friend Haggai Simon about ableism, relationships, and the Netflix series "Love On the Spectrum."

    Notes:
-When I refer to the social hierarchy, I don't mean to imply that black women are incapable of being oppressors.
-I mean to compare male and female autism diagnoses at the beginning of the episode.

  • Why Black Women Can't Afford to Be Your Superheroes
Hi,again. Today, I'm talking about the Superwoman Syndrome as it pertains to black women, the notion of black women being strong, the historical connotations, and how it affects our mental health and wellness today. This characterization seems like it's based on a progressive notion, but it's not.

  • When Wellness Is A Privilege (Panel)
Since July was Minority Mental Health Month, I hosted a panel with a few smart folks about wellness as it pertains to minority communities. We talked about the education system, prison reform, culture, and other areas where one's mental health and wellness might be impacted within their cultural and ethnic community. We get into some heavy subject matter concerning BIPOC experiences and trauma. Check out the Instagram below for more information on the panelists and how they make the world a warmer place for BIPOC. Also, we're encouraging donations for Harriet's Daughters, so please donate below!
