Pod 49

Well we finally could handle publicly processing our grief over the unthinkable. No real format to this show other than talking about the cancellation, thoughts on possible salvation, and thoughts from four Lodge 49 True Lodge Members.

We went deep into the crates with our conversation with Lodge 49's Music Supervisor Thomas Patterson. We discuss his lifetime friendship with Jim Gavin, how he picks the needle drops, his penchant for getting bands to reform and what different characters optimal playlists might be. Then he surprises us with a bonus-cut guest appearance by his wife, Susy Kane, who plays Genevieve The Muse. The episode ends with Susy's rendition of Nature Boy.

From selling vintage clothes in Japan to getting crushed by an ATM on Breaking Bad, David Ury has done it all!

We had a great conversation with David about his career, the friendships he's forged on Lodge 49, the time he sold a baby (on a soap opera), and Champ's anticapitalist wisdom.

Wow! We were thrilled to talk with Jim Gavin and Peter Ocko. They chatted with us for almost an hour talking about how the show came into existence, the production of the show, the music, their philosophy of the show and their vision about how much story they still have to tell!

We are excited to have her our first crew and cast interview on the podcast with our talk with Olivia Sandoval who plays Janet. It was fun to dive into her motivations for the character, her experience on the show and a bit about her background. See the show notes for some more infom on things we discussed and referenced. And thank you Olivia for coming on the show!

NOTE: This is a republish of an old episode to repopulate the correct file to Spotify, Apple and other services. If you already listened, ignore this. If you were confused by last version was only 5 minutes on your podcasting app of choice...here is the full episode.

We didn't get the chance to call out the original songs, but there were two songs by modern artists.
