Meanwhile, Carrie wears an inappropriate outfit for paiting, and then blames Steve for everything that goes wrong with wearing it, and Andre Richard gaslights Nya into feeling like SHE is a bad person for not wanting to raise HIS kids as a tenured professor while he galavants all over the nation with his "band" making less-than-poverty level income. In an episode where there is really only two main storylines (the school benefit and Carrie’s first date as a widow) we somehow spend a lot of time watching people playing tennis (twice) and hearing Carrie mention over and over how she is the biggest victim. Miranda is DEEP into her flashback fantasy with Che standing in blown out surgery room lighting, and we are forced to go along with her on the ride! Speaking of rides, Nya is forced to perform an unnecessarily gratuitous sex scene (fully nude) with her loser husband Andre Richard as part of what we can only assume is a sign of "female empowerment" or something. Charlotte is asked by her kids to remove the Gen-Z repellant that are the cultural dolls that live in their room, and Anthony and Jonathon Grofff have an extended scene of literally nothing other than a paycheck for both of them. Oh also...Diwali happens. Its the name of this episode yet it is less than an afterthought as far as plot. Enjoy!!!

There's nothing more exciting on a HATE REWATCH than getting to the most epic example of the first time we all, at the exact same time, went "WHAAAA??" while covering our eyes and gripping our faces in horror. We live in a warped MPK universe where the combination of Sara Ramirez (arguably one of the most beautiful people walking around planet earth), a late in life lesbian discovery, day drinking, and groping aggressively like animals, does NOT come off as sexy in any way. Instead, we are forced to gaze upon MINUTES worth of static camera shots of what we would consider TELEVISION HELL. Meanwhile, we, the audience, get a crash course in how to use pronouns, which none of us asked for or probably require as die hard fans of one of the most progressive HBO shows in history. This episode is up there with the Terrifier franchise of most upsetting things ever seen in media. Enjoy!!!
