In today's study, we begin with a confusing scripture, and we try to bring some clarity to it. Then we look at James' statement that God resists the proud, but He gives grace unto the humble. He told us to submit ourselves to God, resist the devil, and then the devil will flee from us. He commanded us to draw nigh to God, and then he stated that God will draw nigh to us. James tells us to cleanse our hands, purify our hearts, while also cautioning us not to be double-minded. This episode is encouraging, yet challenging.
In our Q&A segment, we answer the question: Aren't we to be lifting Christ up in our church services? Jesus even said that if He was lifted up, He would draw all men unto Himself.
I feel that you will be a little surprised at our answer...

In this second installment of Systematic Theology, Bro Donnie and Bro Chris Lee teach part 2 of the Impeccable Christ. They add to their previous defense of the biblical doctrine of the impeccability of Christ. They strengthened their position with many scriptures. These brothers purport that to see Christ as less than He is, this effectively tears Him down. Our purpose is to lift Christ up and exalt Him as highly as humanly possible.
We hope this episode persuades you to join in our exaltation of the Impeccable Christ!

In today's study, we speak a little more concerning the wisdom of God that comes down from above, but then we move on into chapter 4. James begins this chapter with several scathing remarks and a strong rebuke. He asks his audience why they were fighting and warring with each other. He brings up lust, the desire to have things, and why they aren't receiving them. He claims that they would only consume them upon their own lusts. He calls anyone who befriends the world adulterers and adulteresses. He even goes as far as to say that if you are the friend of the world, you are the enemy of God!
In our Q&A segment, we are asked a great question: Are there other gods, or not? Sometimes the Bible speaks as if there are no other gods as in Is. 45:5-6, but then it speaks as if there are in places like Ps. 82:6.
You're going to get a lot out of this episode... if you would only listen! LOL

In today's study, we answer a very specific set of questions that was sent by email from a faithful listener. The questions are regarding something I mentioned in an earlier episode with Bro. Devin Birdsong. The listener asked if we would weigh in and describe what the 4 things were that the Jews believed only the Messiah could do. We look at all 4 of these beliefs and explain what they are, why they believed only the Messiah could do them, and then we finish by showing how Jesus fulfilled them all.
We believe this is one episode that you don't want to skip!

In Today's study, we dig a little more into what James has to say regarding the tongue of man. We also examine what he has to say about wisdom, knowledge, righteousness, and how they come. There is a wisdom of this world, but it is earthly, sensual, and even devilish. James declares that wherever you find envy and strife, you will find confusion and every evil work. James tells us how we need the wisdom that comes from above. Which wisdom do you possess?
In our Q&A segment, we were asked a question: Did Jesus and Paul disagree with each other, especially when you take Matt. 28:19 and 1Cor. 1:17 into consideration?
We give this our best biblical answer, and we believe you will find it interesting... so go ahead, what are you waiting for? Tune in and give us a listen!

In today's installment of Systematic Theology, Bro Donnie and Bro Chris Lee delve into one of their favorite topics. They teach part one of the impeccability of Christ. They explain what the doctrine of impeccability means, why it is necessary to believe this scriptural doctrine, and they tell us what happens when this belief is rejected. Many people fail to understand the difference between the idea that Christ did not sin, and the idea that Christ could not sin.
We highly encourage you to listen to these brothers' explanation today!

In today's study, we examine the deadliest weapon known by mankind. I feel certain that every person has been attacked by this weapon we speak of, which is better known as the tongue of man. James doesn't go easy on us concerning the way we use our tongues. He goes so far as to say that our tongues are set on fire of hell. Our whole discussion today is about this fiery member.
In our Q&A segment we give an answer to the question: In Matt. 8:21-22, Jesus tells a man to let the dead bury the dead... what in the world does that mean?
We hope this episode convicts, challenges, and blesses you!

In today's study, we answer a couple of questions that were sent in by a listener from Alabama. Those questions are first: Why didn't God punish Aaron for making the golden calf for the children of Israel in the wilderness, while Moses was up on the mountain? Then secondly: How did Aaron seem to escape judgment when he and Miriam were badmouthing Moses about his wife? We answer these questions, and then we look at several other interesting things about this man who became the first High Priest over Israel. We hope this study strikes your fancy so much that you will send in whatever questions that you might have that you would like to get an answer for!

In today's study, James deals with the faith and works debate once again. He uses Abraham and Rahab as examples for his teaching on this controversial subject. James speaks of justification through works, much to many scholars' chagrin. James tell us if we don't offend through our words, we are perfect, and therefore able also to bridle our whole body.
In our Q&A segment, we answer the question: In Matt. 6, Jesus speaks about having a good eye and an evil eye... does this have anything to do with lust?
We believe you will find some interesting things in this episode!

In today's episode, we have a good discussion with good friend of mine, Bro. Darin Wood. Bro. Darin speaks regarding a topic that I believe we need to revive among our churches. We go over what modesty is, why we need it, and how we know modesty when we see it. Bro. Darin brings up several things, and he also brings along his unique perspective to this long held belief of the Pentecostal and Holiness people. I challenge you to listen to this episode, because I believe we all need to be reminded of these things!
