"It was the last day of an eight day trip to Spain. It was the first time that I traveled on my own. I flew to Madrid and I met a group of fellow travelers as we made our way from Madrid to Seville and back, stopping in Granada in Seville. So on that last day I was the first person to arrive in Spain and I was the first to. Was one of the first to leave."

"But I think about one, My sister's ashes are still here as we are planning on figuring out where we want to actually bury her ashes. And I also have a necklace, which is called an urn necklace, that has some of her ashes. So again, if I had to leave in a minute, what could I grab? I definitely would take my sister with me, right? But then as I think about things that I own, honestly, I think life has been."

  • @Hineni | So, what exactly is Somatic Treatment Therapy?

"There's a hell of a lot to it. There is a reason now that there is a branch of integrative medicine. Because finally, finally, I mean, not completely, but finally, people are realizing that there can be a marriage of the two. There can be alternative therapies, as they're called, to help someone out with issues and have the medical component as well and marry them. There's no reason why we can't. It doesn't have to be black or white."

"I would say one of the technologies that I miss is having a 35 millimeter camera. I miss the disposable cameras because with disposable cameras you could buy them, take all the photos, drop the whole thing off at the photo booth, go and pick up your actual photographs. Now we have camera phones and they're great, but I like printed photos because I do have photo albums and I like printed photos. And so yes, you can get your camera phone stuff, you know, printed."

"It wasn't my immediate cell phone that was always on me, but I don't have that now. And so I do miss having a landline with an answering machine. That's the number you give out to, you know, certain vendors or whoever, people you're not super close to. Because I don't like the cell phone ringing all the time. And now the cell phone is pretty advanced where a number will show up and it will say scam likely."

"My coping skills include humor and lots of humor. Because somehow I feel life is a theater act and we are the artist, so we have to complete our act and go. The comedy of errors or the puzzle of life is like having fun and looking at it from a different perspective altogether. And humor helps. Humor always helps. Is getting a laugh upon yourself, feeling happy about things that are happening, good or bad, doesn't matter. There is something happening at least."

"And I cannot waste time being emotional or cannot be the sort of a person somehow is laid back and not doing something about something. Yeah, something about anything that has to do with me. I would start reading something and getting along or just pick up the keys and go for a drive. Stagnation. It makes me feel bad somehow. But somehow I'm not happy doing. Not. Not doing nothing. Like it's bad, man. So that is something that defines me."

"And I admit it did. It was devastating to hear that after so many years of having everything proceed more or less regularly to have it all come to a screeching halt, let alone not be back to work for months after until July. Yet the same time a creative renaissance happened in the midst of all this I finally like started to embrace the poet that had been inside has been inside me for so many years. But I never like took it seriously enough."

"Other than that, I get most of my social interaction online. And because there are times when I wasn't finding engagement here, then I also spend time on Clubhouse for live conversations. But Swell has given me so much, whether that is meeting, even for a brief time, really incredibly thoughtful people and having conversations that took my mind in directions I didn't anticipate, right."
