  • @lhnath | What is the source of our moral compass?

"You get God out of the equation. Where is morality? A lot of psychology. People into psychology are essentially atheists. There's some people that believe in survival of the fittest. Well, survival of the fittest, that's not love. But if you don't have a God, your belief is not in God. It's just in what you see, what you hear and what you feel and what you smell and what you taste. It's just limited to our physical senses."

"Tell him why it's incorrect or why you don't like it. Take it up with him. I didn't write the Bible, and no other Christian wrote it either. He did. So if you don't like it, I'm the messenger. Take it up with him. Tell him, you know, God will hear you and listen to you, and you can talk to him and you can tell him exactly what you think."

"I just sit quietly in silence, feeling how even my thoughts restless herd like are part of this world's dawn choreography. I see with awe the banyan's gnarled patience, the heron's haunting path, the spade of grass, soft as memory, bends under my feet. Slowly, silently remembering the words. You are not separate from the grass, you are the grass, the tree. The chirping bird on the branch of the tree."

  • @notessonthego | How do you define happiness?
Click here to reply to @notessonthego

"I think happiness is a state of mind. However cliche it may sound, it is the truth, because happiness is how you define your state of existence, and it also is how you feel in a particular moment. So happiness, to me, if I were to personify happiness, it would be my grandmother eating ice cream on a hot summer's day and playing Scrabble with me. That would be happiness for me. I love personifying things. So, yeah, that's one form of happiness."

  • @notessonthego | Do you think most people are on a spiritual journey?
Click here to reply to @notessonthego

"But it's not, definitely not spiritualism because the, the amount of posts that are available on social media are just opposite to, you know, what people are practicing. So no, I don't think so and I'm sorry for this very blunt answer, but I, I think people are really pretending to keep up appearances and do the right thing and you know, checkbox social checkbox on social media. Yes. Spiritual journey. Haha."

  • @notessonthego | What is consciousness?
Click here to reply to @notessonthego

"What is consciousness? I think consciousness, to me, personally, is awareness. It's being aware of yourself. It's being aware of, you know, how you interact with the environment. It is aware. It is awareness about how other people affect you also. And I think being conscious is to be extremely involved in the decision making process and also being involved in, you know, your day to day activities."

"And even as they grow up, there's something magical, you know, in the way they still see comfort in our presence, in our hugs, in our words, in our silence. And that contentment in their smile when they know you are there, you know, it just melts you. And what strikes me the most is this, that children, they don't love us for what we give them or what we do."

  • @Sheena11 | How do you handle criticism?
Click here to reply to @Sheena11

"So it's about the relationship I share with the person, the intention behind their words, and the place I'm in emotionally at that particular moment. So I try to take what's helpful and leave what's hurtful and always, always listen to my own heart. In the end, I think that's what matters at the end. So thank you so much for this prompt, Shelley."

"The moment humans use the Bible as a tool to control people, that's where I have an issue. And I always say this to everybody. I'm like, it's a book. Because what happens during national. During natural disasters, floodings, hurricanes, whatever, all our books can be lost in floods or burnt to ash. So it's a book. But when it comes to spirituality, I believe that everybody has their own mindset when it comes to that."
