"A literary quote that I disagree with would have to be from the Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde. And it's spoken by Dorian himself, who is obviously influenced by the hedonistic values of Lord Henry. And so he says, I have never searched for happiness. Who wants happiness? I have searched for pleasure."

"Okay, I'm going to start in chapter one and verse 14 and it's talking about Christ, about Jesus, in whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins. Anyone that wants forgiveness. Just ask him and you will be forgiven. This goes on about who he is, who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature, Christ. All these are about Christ."

"That stillness is not a sign of laziness or inaction. It's a space where awareness grows and clarity emerges. Another striking part is his use of metaphors from nature, the idea that mindfulness is like sitting beside a stream and watching your thoughts flow by rather than jumping into swim against them. That visual has helped me personally to be less reactive and more observant in my day to day life. What sets this book apart from me is that it does not tell you what to feel."

"One quote I respectfully disagree with is all the world's a stage and all the men and women merely players. William Shakespeare's as you like it. Though this quote is undeniably poetic and reflective of Shakespeare's genius, I find myself at odds with the implication it carries."

"One of the books I'm currently reading is the Art of Happiness, written by someone interviewing the Dalai Lama and his view on his philosophy on happiness, the Handbook for Living. This book is an extensive conversation with the Dalai Lama. They were talking about the the brain and stated that thoughts and feelings were the result of different chemical reactions and changes in the brain. It possibly it possible Is it possible to conceive the reverse sequence where the thought gives rise to the sequence of chemical events in the brain?"
