With over a million podcasts out there, and more every day, a common question I get is about whether or not it's too late to start a podcast in 2020. Is there any point? There are already podcasts in my niche, why bother?
I find the better question is "does a podcast fit in well with your goals?"
Whether it's business, personal, or otherwise, a podcast may certainly help bring about your desired results.
But asking if it's too late to start a podcast is like asking if it's too late to start a business, website, or LinkedIn profile. Of course not.
This isn't to say I'm taking a cheerleader position of "everybody needs a podcast", but they're just one of many mediums to share opinions and knowledge, grow your following, and use as a marketing tool.
I don't believe it will ever be "too late" to start a podcast, though you should still ask yourself if podcasting fits into your overall plan, and if you will be in it for the long haul, before investing your time and money.
