Podcast Rodeo Show: Reviews and First Impressions of Your Podcast was started by Mischelle Saunders-Gottsch, CEO/ Founder of Altered Stories Ministry (www.alteredstories.org). This podcast exists to help women share their transformational redemptive God stories so women across the world can hear them.
The evangelistic commission of the podcast aligns with scripture, Luke 8:39 (NIV) “Return home and tell how much God has done for you. So the man went away and told all over town how much Jesus had done for his life.”
What I Liked About This EpisodeAdding the scripture reference helps explain the motivation behind the show.
What I Thought Could Use Some PolishingThe Intro
The intro doesn't explain what the show is. It says the title and says the host's name. I would suggest Welcome to the Altered stories show where (tell God Stories?) for (target audience) so that they can (result of listening).
The Audio Quality
This audio quality is not up to speed with other podcasts. This does not mean you need to spend thousands on equipment. I recommend the Samson Q2U and keep it about three finger-widths away from your mouth. I would also use Squadcast to record your interviews or make sure your guest has decent quality. Your guest's quality was so bad I had a hard time understanding her. It is YOUR responsibility to make sure the guest sounds good on YOUR show. The whole, "It sounds good by the time it gets to God's ears" does not cut it here.
Who is Your Audience?
You mentioned some Christian app. Is the goal to pump up Christians or inspire the unchurched?
Your Descriptoin
Make it more about your audience and less about you. Remove the word "podcast".
Your Guest Introduction
Only include the details that pertain to today's story. We don't need her whole back story if it's not relevant.
Housekeeping
Any "how the sausage is made" content should be moved toward the end where the "Super listeners" are still listening.
Your Website
It needs work. It, it just needs work.
Action Items
I recommend www.trypodpage.com and www.learnpodpage.com for your website.
I recommend the Samson Q2U and a windscreen for your audio issues and Squadcast for recording. Here is a free webinar on Podcast Equipment.

Podcast Rodeo Show: Reviews and First Impressions of Your Podcast A podcast about the mechanical keyboard hobby and what makes it talk… You can find the show at https://www.thethocc.com/, another great-looking site on Podpage. You can learn podpage for free at www.learnpodpage.com
What I Liked About This EpisodeThe host sounds amazing and apparently did a deep dive. I'm not the target audience and I'm taking the fact that I had no idea what they were talking about as a good thing.
What I Thought Could Use Some PolishingThe first answer should've started when the guest started to answer the question (we got to hear some self-deprecating talk first). The guest audio (as is always the case) sounded a bit boomy, and at times the host got a little soft. You can make your guest sound better by recording separate tracks with a tool like the Zoom Podtrack P4 or a service like Squadcast. Then you can run the guest's side of the conversation through the Descript software and turn on their Studio Sound tool that makes bad audio sound amazing. Check out this Quick Studio Sound Demo
Instead of putting "Dave's Interview" what was the main takeaway? THink of the title of your show a bit more "extra-extra read all about it."

What I Liked About This EpisodeThe introduction let me know what was coming.
The audio quality was good (especially for only being their 2nd podcast).
I loved that they were going to provide some "behind the scenes" and they are going to do it toward the end of the show (which keeps the stories at the front)
I love that this is original. It's not a movie review, true crime, bro-cast, etc. It ticks one of the signs of a good podcast which is, "Information you can't get anyplace else."
What I Thought Could Use Some PolishingThe introduction of the first episode was a lil' clunky. It sounded like you were winging it. You're talking about last week's show, but you couldn't remember what it was.... I would've stopped, regrouped, and taken another stab at it.
As this was the second episode, this is somewhat normal, and probably a little bit of nerves. You did a great job of introducing the second story. So the intro (after the voice-over person) could be as simple as:
Rich: "Hey, Thersa."
Thersa, "Hey Rich, What do you have today?"
Rich: "I've got an AI story about Elvis being alive. How about you?
Thersa: "I've got a story about Jim Morrison" Where should we start?
Then you pick a story and go (and make sure not to spoil the story).
The Elvis story pulled me in, but it started to lose me when it went into stalker mode.

What I LikedI liked their description. They caught my attention with "nightmare" and I was ready to hear about someone else's nightmare/ As they started telling the dream, I definitely had an "I wonder what is going o happen next." They seem to move along at a decent pace.
What I Thought Needed TweakedInstead of talking about the weather, at the beginning, you had listed all the spooky things that you were going to talk about. Maybe ask the other co-host "where do we start today? Dinosaurs? Lunchables? and then get right to the dream.
Then you have any chit-chat after the dream or in between dreams.
Things to Think AboutAre people tuning in for your comments or to hear about dreams. If they are tuning in to hear dreams, the interruption might frustrate those as you have the theater of the mind going. I didn't mind the tangent for the comment until you got to the Lunchables and the longer you take a side step to giggle, the story in my head starts to fade away. If you take an extended pause on a dream to really poke some fun, you might want to consider a quick recap, "OK, back at the car Grandma is still eating Lunchables..." to reset the story.
Rodeo HousekeepingAs a teacher, I look to encourage and uplift people. I had one person who had asked for Feedback in a Facebook group, and their show confused me. I said that, and the person was deeply hurt, and basically said I was mean. This threw me for a loop, and I'm still figuring things out. I do know I want to do this show. I enjoy helping people make the best episodes they can.
I may not review shows that I have not been asked to review. What happens if there are no reviews? I'm not sure. I could change the schedule and maybe go every other week. I guess we'll jump off that bridge when we get to it. For now, if you want to have your show reviewed, go to

The description of Jesus Smart podcast is "The show that goes beyond waiting for heaven. Beyond religion. Jesus is brilliant ... he knows how life works best."
My First ImpressionI liked the audio and the flow of this show. It keeps moving and feels well organized. I liked that you were telling stories. I might've moved point 1 in between your story 1 and story 2 to kind of get going on that list a little sooner, but again, the show kept moving.
Because the show was moving at a decent pace, I would keep listening to hear the other points
Some minor things to consider
For me (A Christian) when someone uses LOTS of Jesus Jargon I worry that non-believers may get turned off as they may not quite understand what "Kingdom Training" is and feel left out.
There was some minor plosive on words like "Apprentice."
The link in your media host points to https://jesussmart.podbean.com. I would buy a domain at Coolerwebsites.com and point it at that (or just update your information in your media host if you have a website already. If not check out www.trypodpage.com

I'm taking a longer look at the Podcast Rodeo Show and asking the question, "Would someone want to hire me to review their full episode based on the "First Impression" review of a previous show.
It made me go hmmm, and I realize that while I still want this to be a "first impression" review, maybe I should take a second to form my opinion. If you think about it, many times the first thing out of your mouth is something you may later regret not taking a second to think about it.
I'd love your opinion. << Click Me

There was almost no description of this show, and once you sit through a minute of commercials the host jumps into the show as if you heard all 128 episodes before (which I hadn't).
I was confused for the majority of this show. He finally jumps into the content around the 3-minute mark.
This is all easy to fix. I can help.

DESCRIPTION
Like Mulder from the X-Files, I want to believe. So I've embarked on a journey of discovery. I've talked to people deeply entrenched in the spiritual, metaphysical, mental health and self help worlds. I've thrown myself into weird and wonderful experiences, and I'm sharing them with you in an effort to find the trick to self-growth.
The rest of your description didn't really help the potential listener and seemed to be you just adding more and more keywords.
What You Did Well
The audio is good, and your intro comes in and gets to the point.
What Could Be Tweaked
Skip the witty banter. If you need to say Hi to your co-host ask her if she's excited about the guest.
We don't need their full back story. Unless you're going to talk marketing, do I care?
You buried the lead. His great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great Grandmother was hanged as a witch. - That's interesting to YOUR CORE AUDIENCE. Not that he was part of the team that invented Virginia is for lovers.

This show uses Anchor (shocking) and has no actual website listed (a Facebook group).
The one thing missing in radio is PERSONALITY so give people what they are missing. Instead, you start off with music. I would've loved some sort of table of contents so I know what to expect.
I did check AND THIS SHOW IS IN MONO??? (SO WEIRD). Call me picky, but I expect a music show to be in stereo.
