Is there a Tipping Point being pushed, 2 cops in Ferguson being shot: we must respond in love

Ferguson is again in the news from late night headlines as 2 officers have been shot. According to reports, one officer has been shot in the face and the other has been shot in the shoulder. How many people have promoted the anger that we are witnessing? It appears that the media is capturing the events, the imagery, and pushing it. During the engagements of gunfire, a video captures the live events that took place as these events unfolded. Moments after muzzle flashes shined into the night, the video captures a bystander stating, “….acknowledgement 9 months ago would of kept that from happening…” This is not how we are to respond; not as human beings; not as the Body of Christ. If we respond in anger to the anger and hatred that is fueling the environment, we are only making it stronger. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. stated, “Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.”

As we see the violence and uproar of voices increasing in America, the Department of Homeland Security has released a video on how people can respond to a situation if an armed gunmen enters the workplace and begins to randomly kill innocent bystanders: Run, Hide, or Fight. When we look at the past events in America: the borders of America, Fast and Furious, did they know these events would soon come? Many are the injustices that have happened in America; both in our present day and our history. This is true. We have to be mindful of those who are using the pain and injustices of others to promote and fuel their own agenda. It is basic Alinsky Tactics 101 to push us to respond in anger. As the Church, we are not to respond with the world’s mindset, but, we must respond with compassion and wisdom. The Moravians Teach us not just to stand for our Generation but for Generations to come

When two young Christian men heard of an atheist slave owner who controlled nearly 3,000 slaves, their reactions are still sending ripples of their boldness to this day. No minister was allowed on the West Indies Island where this slave owner and slaves were being held captive. There was no other option. These men sold themselves as slaves. Their reasoning? “May the Lamb that was slain receive the reward for His suffering!” They made a choice not for themselves or their own generation, but for others, and for generations to come. This is the story of the Moravians.

Dutch Sheets has described this kind of action, like planting an evergreen tree. We don’t do these types of things for ourselves, or to receive the fruit for our own generations, but for generations to come. There is a people in this generation that are hungry and searching for the God of the Bible. In this critical hour, it is not for us to think about ourselves, but to be those who would advance the Kingdom for the cause of Christ by telling the nations about the Good News of Jesus Christ. Pray for Israeli Election for Prime Minister: It’s Outcome can Potentially Effect the World

As we rewind the tape of history of the United States, we see the different Presidents that have come and gone since the time that George Washington was the first of many. We understand the importance of elections as the leadership of Presidential styles can vary so differently as elections come and go. When we look at the nation of Israel, there have been many Prime Ministers since the first was Davin Ben-Gurion. For the State of Israel, tomorrow is a demarcation line as elections are being held for the next Prime Minister of Israel. Of all the Prime Ministers, Benjamin Netanyahu is the 2nd longest serving Prime Minister since the first in office, David Ben-Gurion. As VFNtv has reported in detail about the Netanyahu’s resolve, leadership, and boldness through events such as Operation Protective Edge and his speech to the United States Congress, he has demonstrated himself and a protector of both Israel’s security and protection. If tomorrow’s election does result in favor for Prime Minister Netanyahu, the protection and security of Israel may be drastically hindered.

According to CBN, “some of Netanyahu's opponents call him a bigger danger to the world than Iran.” There are individuals taking part in the elections, not from the State of Israel that are seeking to sway these elections. Reportedly, the Jewish people don’t make voting decisions until the last 48 hours. We are in those last 48 hours. As the church, it is vitally critical that we pray for the peace of Israel; that we pray for the elections of Israel; and we pray for the salvation of Israel. Are we Reaping the fruit of Hours spent on Role Playing Video Games where Murder, Rape, and Rebellion towards Authority is the Norm?

Images and realities of war are not just seen through the eyes of soldiers anymore. Through the advancements of technology, these images and realities are known by many Americans. It was only a few decades ago when this technology didn’t exist. Technology has also been used to train the soldiers of today that the soldiers of yesterday did not have. When we look at those who wore the uniforms in World War I, many were apprehensive of the reality of pulling the trigger and taking the life of another human being. Jump to World War II and those numbers dropped dramatically. Fast forward to where we are today and we not only have realities of war taking place once again, but it’s also happening in virtually, in homes throughout the world.

There have been shootings in the streets, open violence against one another, rebellion against authority, rapes, and murders continually occurring on, what appears to be a daily basis. How did we get here? When there was a shooter that released gunfire in the Navy Yard in Washington D.C., his actions reflect the very images depicted in a game called, “Grand Theft Auto”. Based on reports, this man spent hours each day playing these types of games to the point that food was brought to him while continuing to play. According to Grand Theft Auto Online’s 2014 reports, there were 33,834,423 Global Players, playing 2,330,825,301 hours of this game in 224 countries. When looking at the actual gameplay profiles of these players, 341,913,222 different weapons were owned. If we virtually allow murder, rape, and rebellion to happen in our homes, should we be surprised when we see the identical actions carried out in our streets, in our neighborhoods, in our schools?

As the church, we cannot embrace dark and light together, we cannot choose both up and down. When we see the present realities of today, there is a path that can be seen clearly that reveals how we got here. You could almost view them as “phases”; one to another that ultimately brings us to day. When we see these phases clearly and how we got here, it is an empowering moment because it gives us clarity as to how we can return back to God’s original intent. You CAN make a Difference in the World Today: Ask Johnny Youseff: Compassion the Great Need of the Hour

When we flip through the channels of headlines, scroll through the social media posts, there are countless different events taking place: celebrities in the news, entertainment, and humor. There are also injustices, travesties, and needs expressed. When we see something, do we respond initially with shock and possibly pity that something could happen so terribly wrong to another human being; or does it go another step further. Often times when the word compassion is used to express someone’s feelings, it is actually pity. When we respond to these emotions by resolving to just respond, but to act, then we have entered into compassion.

In regards to the recent 21 Christians that were beheaded on the shores of Tripoli, strictly because of their faith in Jesus Christ, that is exactly how Johnny Youssef responded, with compassion. Unable to sleep, thinking about the families of these 21 men; as a man from Egypt himself, he resolved to do something about it. Johnny posted a video to social media expressing to the world how this reality impacted him. He shares his own invitation for others to help support him in his response.

The travesties and devastations that are happening on the global scale can easily be perceived as overwhelming to any one person. But, when one person begins to focus on the one who needs help, that is when change occurs. As the Body of Christ, we are known by our fruit, our compassion, how we respond to one another. Jesus Himself describes a story in Matthew 25 about the sheep and the goats. How we respond to one another will determine which one we are, and ultimately how that effects our eternity. Is America the Rich Young Ruler? Could the Cataclysmic Events that are Unfolding Potentially Lead to World War and Economic Collapse?

As we drive along a road and see events happening on the road, do we look at the road that we could possibly be on? The signs are there. The events are real. Major events are taking place.
