  • Washington DC Bully Pulpit - Don't take a swing
Greg, John, and Pat share about bullying but it is not what you might think. They speak about bullying that takes place from Washington DC. When someone is bullying someone else they are trying to provoke them to act out and take a swing. They do this so they can release all the pent up anger, rejection and twisted emotions within them. It has nothing to do with you. It was President Theodore Roosevelt who first coined the term bully pulpit when referring to the Whitehouse as a terrific platform from which to advocate an agenda. Up to this point this famous Bully Pulpit had been used for new tax schemes, for defending the nation, to expand national parks, to build monuments and to fight wars. BUT THERE'S A NEW BULLY IN WASHINGTON DC... who is using it to Bully American's to GIVE UP THE CHRISTIAN GOD WE SERVE, and ITS SUPREME LAW OF THE LAND the U. S. Constitution which the president, congress, and the Supreme Court swear to defend and acknowledge that this is their only purpose of being there.
Our leaders in Washington have poked American citizens and especially the
Church, America's founding fathers, and America's Constitution in the chest
so many times, it can only be explained as President Theodore Roosevelt did...THEY ARE BULLYING THE AMERICAN PEOPLE, using Washington as a Bully Pulpit! Don't fall prey to Washington DC's Bully Pulpit and act out in rage. It's time for the church to repent and instead of hitting the streets it's time to hit our knees. We are seeing our nation being turned over. We need to turn back to God and follow the ways of those who have gone before us like Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. who stood up for what's right in the right way before God and men. He was willing to lay down his life for the next generation.
"If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land." 2 Chronicles 7:14

  • There is Power in our Weakness
Pat, Greg, and John share about how the Apostle Paul said in 2 Corinthians 12:5-10 he will boast in his weaknesses. Paul recognized that the thorn in his flesh was ultimately a blessing but because when he is weak God is strong. They continue to discuss this may be the reason many in the church lack power, because they are not willing to share and be open about their weakness so God can get all the glory. It's not about trying harder but rather about putting our trust and dependence on God. It's time to exercise true humility that focuses on God rather than false humility where the focus is always on the person. Rick Joyner said, "You are not ready until you are ready to be humiliated for the sake of the one who is humiliating you."

It's not what others are trying to make it about, hunting. President Obama is weighing 19 different gun control measures that he could take effect without congressional approval according to fox news. The 2nd Amendment allows you to arm yourself to defend yourself. Often times the police arrive to the scene after the disturbance is over. We need to build community and stand for our rights.

  • Discipline awaits the one who leaves the path
In this moment of wisdom found in Proverbs 15:10, Stern discipline awaits him how leaves the path; he who hates correction will die. Greg shares how there is a path for believers, Christians. They are not to be nomads wandering everywhere but there is to be some predictability. However in order to stay on the path and know when you get off of it or choose to leave it you must know what it is. It's how you live your life; it's something that comes out of your heart. God's word is a lamp to help keep us on the path. America has left the path and stern discipline awaits it unless America repents. Stay on the path.

  • Dr. King Show us how to Honor God and the Constitution as the law of the Land
Greg, John, and Pat discuss how Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. showed us how to honor God and the Constitution as the law of the land. We need to know how to respond to all that is going on around us. Dr. King saw injustice where black men and women were treated differently because of the color of their skin. For instance they were not allowed to drink out of the same water fountains as white people. At one point he decided to be a pioneer. He started in his church and then began to share with the rest of the country. Dr. King showed us how we can peacefully honor God and the Law of the land when standing for justice, in the midst of dogs being sent to attack them. He allowed the justice system to work. The ends don't justify the means. For Christians the "means" are everything because Jesus already took care of the end on the cross. They encourage us to get a pocket constitution and defend it.

  • You've Got to step out from what you've been depending on so you can depend on God
Greg, John, and Pat discuss how important it is to step out from what you have been depending on so you can depend on God. They continue to discuss how Jesus walked on water in the midst of the storm and ask Peter to walk out to Him. We will find the Lord when we seek Him with our whole heart. Peter refused to stay in the boat when Jesus asked him to come to him which involved walking on the water. The Bible says that without faith it is impossible to please God, Hebrews 11:6. Jesus tapped into something in Peter that he didn't know was inside of him. Greg challenges us to step outside of what we are depending on and seek the Lord and He will be found.
