  • United Nations to Monitor U.S. Elections, say "it Ain't so"
Greg, John, and Pat discuss that the United Nations are sending international monitors to poll the U.S. election for voter fraud groups. They are allegedly sending people who are dictators, people who are radical Islamist to watch our elections. They continue to share that this again underscores the importance of the Presidential elections because Woodrow Wilson became president we have the United Nations today. They continue to share that the first shot the Israel has to fire because America did not stand with them it's not going to go well. They allegedly want to stop the Christian conservative. It's time for the church to wake up and stand up to radical Islam and not allow anyone to scare you from voting. Lord, forgive us for thinking that we can turn to government to fix our problems outside of you.

  • Re-Thinking Church: How do you Identify the Church?
Greg, John, and Pat discuss in this rethinking church moment how it's time for the church to get in the game and not just be hearers only of God's word but to become doers. They continue to challenge us by encouraging us to ask ourselves the question how do you identify the church? Do you identify it as a building, an organization, as a board of directors, as a denomination, or do you identify it as family? They remind us that it is okay to question what we have been doing, since according to George Barna we made it all up. God has called us to be family. The reason we default and act institutionalized is because it's painful and it hurts to be family. However, if we become a healthy family, mothers and fathers, sons and daughters in the Lord, it will cause us not to sin against the family because we don't want to hurt them. Jesus said in John 13:34-35 "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." Come out from amongst them to be the family of God. Jesus said "My mother and brothers are those who hear God's word and put it into practice" Luke 8:21.

  • Guard your Heart from ENVY?
In this moment of wisdom found in Proverbs 23:17-18 Greg shares regarding not letting our hearts envy sinners but instead to be zealous for the fear of the Lord and resting in the fact there is a future hope for those that do. We are to have great energy and enthusiasm keeping a constant awareness and acknowledgement of God, His presence, His ways, and His feelings toward us and toward sin. It is better for us not to envy but instead fear the Lord.

  • Clear Message Heard in Terms of Values in the Presidential Debate
Greg, John, and Pat discuss the third Presidential debate on foreign policy. They share how as a Christian and lover of Israel they heard a clear message in terms of values regarding radical Islam and Israel. Declaring that Jihadists are the enemies of the free world and America and that they have to be identified and dealt with. History is trying to be rewritten by those who have a lying spirit. We are being lied to and God is using those who are doing the lying. All men are God's servants and He will use man as he wishes to accomplish his will. As Christians we vote and we pray but we pray more than we vote. No political party or candidate is the problem. The problem is us the church. We need to have the courage to look in the mirror, humble ourselves, repent and pray.

  • Got a STORM Shelter for You
Greg, John, and Pat discuss a recent interview with John McTernan on Sid Roth's "It's Supernatural" program. In this interview John McTernan shares that every time the United States leadership has done something bad to Israel, America would suffer the consequences of that action. One of which was when the then President Franklin Roosevelt allegedly made an agreement with the King of Jordan to provide them military protection in exchange for oil. President Franklin Roosevelt also told the King that Israel would never be allowed to form a nation. Seven days to the day the President died and Vice President Harry Truman took his place who later wrote a letter in support for Israel becoming a nation again. Greg, John, and Pat continue to discuss how John McTernan said that since the beginning of January 2012 he has sensed that something bad was coming. They continued sharing this same feeling deep in their spirit. Many today are putting their hope for America in a candidate but overwhelming times are coming to America and the way you can survive what is coming is by taking shelter. The word of God says in Psalm 91:1 "He who dwells in the secret place of the most High shall Abide under the shadow of the Almighty." The shelter is found in abiding with God but according to George Barna only 19% of the church actually abides with God and just because God moved by his spirit in times past doesn't mean that we are in the same condition it was when God did move. Maybe what was started in the spirit is now being done in the flesh. It's time to enter the shelter of God, to abide with him, and follow his ways.

  • Overly Confident on Training Day
Greg shares a humor moment of when he was a young deputy in training and was happy about riding with a seasoned police professional. He was confident because of the many years of experience and knowledge this deputy possessed that he would learn so much just from being with him. He continues to share how once when they were together they were radioed regarding a possible burglary. Greg recounts how he felt so good being able to go on this call with a pro. So the seasoned deputy walked through the door of the mobile home first and Greg follows but then all of a sudden they heard a loud bang. As a result the deputy runs out of the home so fast that he scrapes against Greg as he runs out of the mobile home stripping all of Greg's pins and badges off of his uniform. They find out later the bang came from a cat that jumped from the counter and landed on the linoleum floor. Enjoy this Humor moment.

  • Be Kind to Those who Look after you, the Police
Greg, John, and Pat discuss how we need to pray for those who are in authority such as Sheriffs and Chiefs of Police as well as praying for our police officers. They continue to encourage VFNRadio listeners not to think negatively about police officers because if it wasn't for them standing in the gap for us crime would be happening in your home. They encourage us to be nice and kind and empathize with them and to remember that everyone has a bad day. For what is coming to America we will need our police officers especially with what we have already begun to see in cities like Detroit, MI and Camden, NJ. Appreciate and pray for those who are in law enforcement and filter out crime elements that many refuse to accept even exist.

  • Rethinking Church: We made it Up, George Barna
Greg, John, and Pat continue a conversation regarding "Re-Thinking" Church. Throughout this conversation they discuss the book entitled Worn out on Church? Revolution Finding Vibrant Faith Beyond The Walls of the Sanctuary written by George Barna. In this book George Barna shares statistics regarding the condition of the church and challenges us to reconsider what and why we do certain things in the church. "We should keep in mind what we call "church" is just one interpretation of how to develop and live a faith-centered life. We made it up. It may be healthy or helpful, but it not sacrosanct" says George Barna. Greg, John, and Pat share and discuss stats spoken of in George's book and continue a dialogue encouraging us in this conversation by challenging us to Re-Think church. George shares in regards to the state of churched Christians in the following statistics:
    - "The bi-weekly attendance at worship services is, by believers' own admission, generally the only time they worship God.
    - Eight out of every ten believers do not feel they have entered into the presence of God or experienced a connection with Him, during the worship service.
    - Half of all believers say they do not feel they have entered into the presence of God or experienced a genuine connection with Him during the past year.
    - Church Christians give away an average of about 3 percent of their income and feel pleased at their "sacrificial" generosity.
    - In a typical week, only one out of every four believers will allocate some time to serving other people. Most of that time is dedicated to volunteering in church programs that serve congregants; little effort is invested in serving needy people outside the congregation.
"The point here is simply to recognize that if we place all our hope in the local church, it is misplaced hope. Many well-intentioned pastors promote this perspective by proclaiming, "The local church is the hope of the world." Like most advertising slogans, this notion is emotionally appealing. The trouble is the sentiment is not biblical. Jesus, and Jesus alone, is the hope of the world" says George Barna. Greg, John, and Pat share that the church has gotten this way because we have made something up and the thing we made up we are lifting it up above God even at the consequence of the church itself. They encourage VFNRadio listeners that time is limited it just takes one man, one woman to make a difference. If that is you and you are willing to just simply "be" the church and desire to have a genuine relationship with the Lord and be used in the harvest then maybe VFNU is for you. Jesus Christ alone is the hope of the world.
