Paco and Jef are back to continue to move their way down the Randomatic Countdown and finally get into the double digits and along the way they each add an Honorary Slip In that was overlooked! What could possibly be left over? Will their choices jive with yours? Give Part 4 a listen to find out!
This episode Paco and Jef hit the rewind button and revisit some of the songs that they feel should have been higher in the countdown so far. They dust off a few surprises and a few that had everyone saying, "Are you serious?!" Check it out and see if you agree!
Paco and Jef are back with the third thrilling instalment of the epic Randomatic Countdown! This week we find that there are actually some gems hidden down here in triple digits as well as some grumpers that can stay down here. We also come across the song that fell the most spots out of any song on the entire countdown! What song is it? Let's just say that everyone in town knew him......
We've gotten past the bottom twenty and are now going through the next layer with songs #146 to #127! In here are some super schmaltzy numbers, some weird noise-fests, some slow jams but the one thing they all have in common is we didn't really like them that much! So dive down with Paco and Jef as they discuss some of the songs that they don't find repulsive but would still line them up on a blind date with an arch enemy.
We're back to countdown the entire 168 song Randomatic Countdown! Starting at the way back in the depths of the Jellies (they're not jams) we break down what songs we felt were the bottom of the Monkees barrel. Along the way Paco and Jef give you some insight into the songs and try to put a positive spin wherever possible (and sometimes it just isn't). Keep checking us out as we continue this countdown all the way to number 1!

Well friends, we've come to the end. It's been quite a trip...we started with a Royal Flush and ended with a Frodis Caper. We've come a long way through these 58 episodes and 15 specials...we've dived (dove?) deep into the Monkees catalogue with the Randomatic Countdown Featuring The Woolhat Of Mystery...we've reacted to live shows and side albums and we even spoke to Mike Nesmith and Micky Dolenz! We've had a blast going through all of the episodes and the music with you...with everything that's been going on since we started in the fall of 2019 one great thing we could always look forward to was hanging out (virutally) and talking about the Monkees for all of you. Oh yes, the episode! This episode was written and directed by none other than Micky Dolenz and is a great tribute to the Monkees tropes that have come in a bunch of episodes throughout the series. It's a really fun episode and a fantastic swan song for the series we all love: The Monkees.
With a cold open with none other than Frank Zappa himself this episode hits the ground running and never stops! Peter gets put under a trance by Oraculo (Monte Landis' final appearance on the show) and the boys have to try to snap him out of it in time for a big audition - and hilarity ensues! It's also the final appearance of the Randomatic Countdown Featuring The Woolhat Of Mystery! With only three songs remaining in the hat what will the final entry into the ongoing list of Monkees tunes? Tune in and check it out!
We're back to the sixties and The Monkees are back to being a band for an entire episode! The boys try out for a Rockathon to win $500 but to be eligible they need to have a girl in the group...cut to Ms Jones joining the Monkees! But even while pretending to be a girl Davy somehow finds a way to fall in love with one of the members of their rival band The Westminstral Abbies! Will The Monkees finally get their long awaited payday by scheming into the contest? Will Davy's new love for the enemy derail them? Will there ever be all four Monkees in a cold open again? Check out this episode and stick around for a fantastic Randomatic Countdown With The Woolhat Of Mystery!
Welcome to New Podcast Valley Sunday! This week Paco & Jef take one last break from the Monkees series and jump ahead into the future to the 1987 short lived TV series: New Monkees! Stop rolling your eyes! P&J go through the first episode of the series "Weather The Storm", introduce you to the New Monkees (Larry, Dino, Jarod & Marty) and talk about how the series came to be and how it had to go. You may think that New Monkees was just a weird cash in on OG Monkees mid-80s success but the show really didn't get a chance to stretch it's legs or find the right audience or network (could it have been an early Fox favourite if it had landed there? Discuss!)
In this Peter Tork directed episode the boys find themselves in a familiar predicament when Davy must go back to England for the reading of a will and to save a village. Ripping pages out of many first season scripts, this episode has some classic moments and some great jokes. Paco and Jef walk you through this episode pointing out great set pieces (the Monkees beds look like old cars!) and some behind the scenes insight. As the series comes closer to an end so does the Rando-matic Countdown as two more songs are pulled from the Woolhat Of Mystery and added to the countdown!
