This week the boys find themselves down south or up in the mountains or wherever Hillbillies are found and end up in the middle of a town-wide feud! Somehow Davy has to marry Ella May, a girl on the eve of her 16th birthday because her father doesn't want her to be an old maid! Trust us: high jinx ensue. With zero mentions of the boys being in a band called the Monkees this episode is a full-on adventure of zaniness that you've got to hear to believe.
This week Micky is trying to woo a girl on the beach but gets picked on by a muscle bound dude and he seeks revenge by joining Weaklings Anonymous, run by the guru, Shaku. Davy and Peter (no Mike in this episode!) try to talk him out of it and have to run some high jinx to get their point across. Paco & Jef break down this Mike-less episode and pull three new songs out of the Woolhat of Mystery...are they jams or jellies? You'll have to listen to find out! (But we say that every time!)
We're back with another special episode with Dolenz, Jones, Boyce & Hart and this time we're checking out their live show from Tokyo in 1976 hot on the heels of their album (which we checked out a while back)! Paco and Jef hadn't listened to a note of this live album until they hit record so you'll be able to hear their reactions as they happen...there are highs...and there are lows...but it's a great slice of Monkees-life in the ultra-weird mid-70s. Join us for a listening party as we delve into Dolenz, Jones, Boyce & Hart: Live in Tokyo!
Did you know that Peter Tork is an amazing artist? If not, then you've never seen this hilarity packed episode, "Art, For Monkees Sake"! Paco and Jef walk you through a Monkees spy-themed episode where the boys have to save a kidnapped Peter and somehow break into an art museum to get him off the hook and save the day!
There's also an instalment of the always popular "Honorary Slip In" where Paco and Jef each pick a song that's not on any of the albums to add into the Randomatic Countdown! What two gems did they choose today? I guess you'll have to listen to find out!
This week Mike runs for Mayor because the boys pad is going to be torn down so the current Mayor and his second in command can surround the city with parking lots. Will Mike have to leave the band because he's going to be mayor?! You'll have to listen to find out!
What makes "Everywhere A Sheik Sheik" such a crazy Monkees episode? Well, for starters Davy has the chance to fall in love and become a prince but he decides that he's too young to get married and passes on the girl! Yes, you read that right. With other highlights like the debut of "Love Is Only Sleeping", and the continuing streak from the Woolhat of Mystery this episode of Podcast Valley Sunday is one for the books!
Paco and Jef are back to talk about the second episode of the second season: The Picture Frame aka The Bank Robbery! The Monkees think they have their big break in acting when they get hired to play bank robbers in a new movie...but little do they know that they're actually robbing a bank! The boys get deep into hot water and it's up to Peter to save them...can he do it? Will he do it? Should he do it? All these questions will be answered in the latest episode of Podcast Valley Sunday!
We’re back for Season Two! Paco and Jef are dusting off their episode hats and are back at it for It’s A Nice Place To Visit aka Monkees In Mexico! The boys find themselves stranded in Mexico and Davy finds himself falling in love (shocker!) which leads to Micky, Mike and Peter having to infiltrate a Mexican gang obviously! With high jinx at high noon the first episode of the Monkees second season is a great one! Plus the Woolhat Of Mystery makes a comeback with three great songs!

Thanks to the great people at Videoranch3D.com Paco and Jef each got a chance to speak with Mike Nesmith over a meet and greet Zoom call and this episode is Paco's conversation with the man himself. Paco introduces the conversation and from there on out he and Mike talk about an array of topics and the whole time Mike makes it feel like he's talking (and toking) with an old friend. We hope you enjoy this conversation...it's something that we never thought would ever happen but after a couple of clicks from an email, there he was, sitting back and having a chat. It was an unforgettable experience. Huge thanks to Melodie and the team at Videoranch3D.com for allowing fans to have this chance...and for letting us release this!
We know that we're stepping out of order here but we figured that this would be the best place for the Monkees final TV special (and the final appearance of all four Monkees together for almost 20 years) because it would be a bummer to end the entire podcast with it! Paco and Jef try to guide you through this trippy, nostalgic slice of weirdness without getting lost in the weeds. This special has everything: Darwin, interpretive dance, Jerry Lee Lewis, Little Richard, Fats Domino, psychedelic strobe effects...the only thing it's really missing is the Monkees! Not only did this TV Special make NBC cancel the other two Monkees TV specials it had slated but they hated it so much they played it opposite the Oscars! AND within days of finishing this special Peter Tork quit the band. Is this special cursed?!
