Podcasts – Thwipping Boys

Due to some life stuff getting in the way (how dare it!) we haven’t been able to talk Game of Thrones for a few weeks, but we’ve found some time (only just, as will become apparent) to discuss episodes 2-4 of the show: – The House of Black and White – High Sparrow – Sons […]

We sit down for the first time in about 2 months to discuss our thoughts on the current state of Agents of SHIELD – there’s much to like, the occasional moment we would have done things differently and still much to improve…we’re getting tired of saying it’s getting there but it really is. With the Season […]

It’s not a spoiler to say that this movie was so dense that mere hours after watching it on opening day here in the UK we have trouble piecing together exactly what happened…even with the help of the terrifying eldritch scribbles Simon managed to make in the blackness of Ashford Cineworld. But like the film itself, we […]

Three years ago, while the world doubted, we predicted that The Avengers would be massive creative and financial hit and now, at the special request of Aussie listener Paul Hix we’ve recorded a podcast on our predictions for Age of Ultron. It’s a little harder for us this time, as Jon’s avoided the trailers and not read […]

After 10 exceptionally long months, Game of Thrones returns! We talk the latest goings on in Westeros, Jon gives his thoughts on the show potentially branching away from the books and he (once again) shares his theory on just what Varys is up to… A theory that is gaining more credence by the episode.

Episode 3 marks a huge improvement for Telltale’s Game of Thrones series. The question is, has it now become it’s own beast? Or is it still surviving on license alone. Plus, have Jon and Simon’s paths diverted for the first time so far? Watch or listen to find out.

The season finale is here! As tensions build both in and out of Alexandria, do any of our predictions come true? Well yes, kind of. Plus, an old friend returns, taking a leaf out of Marcus Cole’s book in the process, and we go possibly our strangest tangent ever.

It’s the penultimate episode of The Walking Dead season 5. When everyone else gets more and more convinced Rick is losing it we actually find ourselves agreeing him! We also provide predictions for the finale and our opinion on how one of the story elements should have gone.

Jon takes time out of his busy birthday schedule to talk The Walking Dead with Simon, including such subjects as: – Why was the episode called “Spend”? – Is Abraham on his way out? – Is Carole evil? – Does Rick have to kill Pete? – Was this the goriest episode ever or what? – Do Thwipping […]
