Podcasts – Thwipping Boys

We relax into the groove a bit more with our second video show in which we discuss episode 5 of Agent Carter, the Daredevil trailer, terrifying American adverts and Simon’s perfect casting choice for John Constantine. We also rank swearwords, fail to get quotes from the “most quotable film ever” correct and experiment with subliminal […]

OK, I’m going to level with you, this episode should have been up days ago but I got a bit distracted with Telltale’s The Walking Dead… Just one of those things were I much preferred punishing myself emotionally to editing a show! To hear Simon and Jon’s thoughts on Agent Carter episode 3 – Time […]

It’s a new year and a new show to talk about! Yep, our first episode of 2015 sees us chatting about the first two episodes Marvel’s brand new spy show Agent Carter. In addition to chatting about the latest incident of us Brits dominating American television, we chat about our (now resolved) Youtube woes and […]

We fix Jon’s mic issues in time to do something a little bit different as we take a detailed look at the new Game of Thrones videogame from Telltale. We discuss how it stands up to the other Telltale stuff and the show itself as we review, compare and sometimes even regret the choices we made…

“Heartbreaking!” “A tear-jerker!” “Devastating!” All descriptions that the AMC PR machine would have us believe were true of Coda, the Season 5 mid-season finale. We’d say that is probably quite a good description actually, just not in the way they meant it, as the mediocre Season 5 is ended with one of the worst episodes […]

Sigh. It all started so strongly for Season 5. But now that we’ve seen seven episodes we’re left with the uncomfortable realisation that this might be the worst half-season of The Walking Dead ever, even if it turns out to end quite strongly next week.

We check in with Curl and Durl for a return trip to Atlanta that ended up working despite some really silly stuff, just on the strength of two great actors and their characters. Plus, we discuss why we believe there’s no way Judith survives Season 5… Maybe she’ll be our first baby walk…err, crawler.

“The Things We Bury” was another solid episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. which was generous with the revelations. Check out our podcast to see what we thought!
