In this episode we decided to tackle a question that we had in regards to force users losing limbs and their ability (or inability) to survive the loss of a limb. Going through each episode we start to notice a few patterns. We talk about Anakin losing limbs and surviving, the alien animals that have lost limbs, the strangers that lost limbs being in contact with force users and most importantly how some of these individuals survived while others perished. Join us for a fun episode where we count off the losers of limbs and those who did the chopping off. 

In this episode we decided to deep dive on the one and only, Grand Master Yoda. We have a massive chat about the original puppeteering, concept artwork, the voice creation and everyone involved. There were so many creatives and designers who played a role in creating the well loved character we know as Yoda. 

Today we talk about something Han Solo says in An Empire Strikes Back. Han replies to the Echo Base Officer's concerns with a common phrase "I'll see you and hell." This had fans interested in if "hell" is a "thing" in Star Wars. It is and we want more. 

As the titles suggests... somehow, Palpatine has returned. In another episode of Designing Afterthoughts we discuss the controversial return of Palpatine in the sequels. We know he returned in Legends, but have they done our Palpsy Boi justice in the sequels? Bare with us as PB gets a little emotional, but we go on to having a great optimistic conclusion on the possibilities of upcoming Star Wars series. 

How sick are the Star Wars Space Buns?!? If you haven't already guessed, Space Buns is the famous hairstyle that Princess Leia wears in A New Hope. In this episode we talk about the futuristic look they were going for in the late 70's and the braided crown she has in the other films. We also talk about a fun fact we found and how the Space Buns relate to Padme in a really subtle but imperative way.  

In today's episode we visit episode 2 of Star Wars Visions: Tattooine Rhapsody. Now this episode is almost a polar opposite of The Duel, but it still has its quirks. We discuss teenage angst in a galaxy far far away, the infamous Jabba the Hutt and of course the nostalgic Mos Espa podracing arena on Tatooine.

Welcome back to another Designing Afterthoughts episode. Today we go over Star Wars bringing back Darth Maul in the clone wars. We talk about how they kill him off, if he could have actually survived and how we was depicted in the Clone Wars series. We also discuss the changes in his character design and if it was palatable.

There's lots to discuss in this episode of Podlings and we hope you're all just as excited for this episode as we are.

To celebrate spooky season we have decided to talk about the witchy vibes of the Nightsister clan on the dark and twisted planet of Dathomir and of course zombies. We went into this episode chatting about the spellbound dead Nightsister zombies and ended up chatting about other zombies within universe, the spells of the clan mother, Zabraks, and some scary moments that fit perfectly into this creepy and wonderful holiday.

Today is a special day for us, as it is the day that A New Hope was released in Australia and we will get into a regular posting schedule of releasing an episode every Tuesday and Thursday. To celebrate this we have taken the opportunity to get to know a bit more about us, as the Podligns hosts. We chat about our first experiences with Star Wars, how we met, and a bit about why we started Podlings.
