Welcome back to Point Blank Period!
In this episode, we’re talking about those three little letters that for so many of us spell painful cramps, emotional mood swings, cravings, bloating, insomnia...you know what I’m talking about!!! PMS!
We’re going to get crystal clear on what PMS actually is and what causes it; what PMS isn’t; and ultimately how we can use this premenstrual time to our advantage once we get those pesky symptoms out of the way!
If you've ever wondered:
This episode is a MUST for you!!!

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: your menstrual cycle is about SO MUCH MORE than your period!
In fact, the main event of your menstrual cycle is really what happens mid-cycle, approximately 2-3 weeks before you bleed--ovulation.
It doesn't get the props it deserves, but ovulation is an integral piece of the healthy menstrual cycle puzzle and is actually a sign of overall health in and of itself.
In today’s episode, I’ll be sharing with you 1) why it’s so important to ensure that you’re ovulating every single cycle; 2) what regular ovulation reveals about your overall health AS WELL AS how it predicts your future health; 3) some common reasons why you may not be ovulating; and 4) how to determine if you’ve ovulated and if not, what you can do about it.

Welcome back, friends!
In this episode, I am tackling five common myths about periods that just need to die already. Unfortunately, there's still SO MUCH misinformation about periods circulating out there, so I thought "It's time to set the record straight."
And while we cannot tackle #allthemyths in one episode, these five are the ones I hear most often among people of all different ages and genders.
So buckle up and get ready to learn--or unlearn!--a thing or two about your period!
In this week’s episode, we're talking about how FAM (Fertility Awareness Methods) work for pregnancy achievement! For all my wannabe mamas out there, this episode is for you!
We're also chatting about some reasons why you may not have conceived yet, and I'm happily debunking some common myths about what you need to do to conceive--because trying to have a baby should be an enjoyable process, not a stressful one!
I hope you enjoy the episode, and as always, please share, share, share!
Clutch the pearls!
This week's episode is all about how to track and interpret your fertile signs to know 1) when you're fertile and therefore should abstain from unprotected sex (if pregnancy prevention if your goal) and 2) when your uterus is closed is business and it's OK to f**k raw and carefree, knowing that pregnancy is impossible!
Despite how far we've come in the realms of women's sexual liberation and reproductive health, SO MANY MYTHS persist about WHEN you can get pregnant and HOW it happens that this episode is LONG overdue!
I hope you enjoy it, and as always, please subscribe, rate, and review! xoxo

Hey, friends!
In this episode, we're chatting birth control myths, and boy, are there A LOT!
Hormonal birth control regulates your period (no it doesn't!)
You get a real period when you're on the Pill (nope, you don't)
You can get pregnant immediately after going off hormonal birth control (this is a tricky one!)
And much more!
This is from an IG live I did last week, and thought it was too good not to share here! If you're not already following me on Instagram, what are you doing with your life?! Come hang out over here: @pointblankperiod_podcast and @hilaryglaus!!!
Welcome back to PBPP, friends!
In this third and final episode in our series on birth control, we're talking about alternatives to hormonal contraceptives, specifically natural birth control methods.
I'm breaking down what natural birth control is--as well as what it isn't because a lot of people have the wrong idea about it!--why more healthcare practitioners aren't talking to their patients about natural birth control options, and how fertility awareness for birth control actually works.
If you've ever been on hormonal contraceptives and had a bad experience, or if you're just looking for a natural alternative that doesn't pose potential risks to your health and future fertility, this episode is for you!

Welcome back to #PBPP, friends!
This week's episode is a continuation of our conversation from last week about #birthcontrol.
We talk about how hormonal birth control actually works to prevent pregnancy (and why it DOESN'T treat other types of period and hormonal problems but rather makes them worse); what the different types of birth control are; and what the side effects and potential risks are of even short-term use of hormonal contraceptives.
Tune in for some real talk about hormonal birth control so you can be more empowered to determine which--if any--is right for you.
