I found the interview with Mr. Crews very refreshing. As an engineer myself, I understand why he knows at this point in our history why it is imperative that a representative is one who can have a substantive dialogue with the companies that employ a large percentage of one's constituents. Please listen to the entire interview. It is well worth it. Mr. Crews is a template for nonpoliticians to enter the political space.

Why Republicans Turned Against the Environment: In 1990, Congress passed an amendment to the Clean Air Act of 1970, among other things taking action against acid rain, urban smog, and ozone. The legislation was highly successful, greatly reducing pollution at far lower cost than business interest groups had predicted. I sometimes see people trying to use acid rain as an example of environmental alarmism — hey, it was a big issue in the 1980s, but now hardly anyone talks about it. But the reason we don’t talk about it is that policy largely solved the problem.

Professor/Political Activist & PDR Posse Leader Briege McP visited with us to refute an article that compared the Republican Party to Sinn Fein.
Briege McP recently read an article on the Coffee Party USA Facebook page. She was taken aback because she thought it mischaracterized the real struggles in Northern Ireland as it equated the MAGA Republican Party with Sinn Fein.
In the Dispatch article titled “Is the Republican Party Becoming the Sinn Féin of America?” the first two paragraphs were justifiably problematic tWhile Briege agrees partially that Sinn Fein had the IRA on the side, it is essential to know that there were two sides to the IRA.
“One more political, one more violent,” Briege wrote. “Yet, both socialists, as is Sein Fein. The GOP is not socialist. But to compare our current GOP and the people like the Proud boys or the like would not be Sein Fein and the IRA. Although those people do believe they are fighting for the freedom of their country, they are not. Nor are the GOP. Apples and Oranges. It’s more like maybe Martin Luther King and BLM. When fighting an army with just regular people, things happen. The army is not blamed for the murder they do, but armed, well-formed citizens are."

I am going out on a limb. Democrats will hold both the House and the Senate in 2022. In fact, they will gain three seats in the Senate.
This Time the Collapse Will Be Global: The archeological remains of past civilizations, including those of the prehistoric Cahokia temple mound complex in Illinois, are sobering reminders of our fate. I am standing atop a 100-foot-high temple mound, the largest known earthwork in the Americas built by prehistoric peoples. The temperatures, in the high 80s, along with the oppressive humidity, have emptied the park of all but a handful of visitors. My shirt is matted with sweat.

Republicans’ new voters turn out less while Democrats do the opposite. And that may swing midterm: The Kansas vote and polling must be examined closely. The likely voter model is likely off by a bunch. This Meet The Press analysis may have a partial answer.
