This week we have a special guest: Kaitlin Schrote, Senior Research Assistant at the Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU) Center for Women's Health.
Admittedly I am biased (we've been friends for 13 years now) but I think you'll agree that Kaitlin is an incredible wealth of information. Her work is focused on contraceptive technology effectiveness and accessibility, and includes such varied projects as gathering information about how pharmacists are prescribing birth control pills to patients in some states, length of effectiveness of IUDs (Intra-uterine devices), and ways to provide abortion services via telehealth.
Disclaimer: this is the very first interview I've done for the podcast, and due to COVID, it was done via video call. The sound is serviceable, but not optimal. If there is something you missed or don't understand, please let me know at [email protected] and I will happily fill you in!
