Pat yet again pretends to be interested in John’s musical obsessions, and John yet again pretends to be interested in doing a podcast. When they’re combined, it all adds up to an almost interesting episode.

John & Pat look at Garry Shandling’s groundbreaking TV comedy work, and learn a little something about themselves in the process. Mostly, though, they just learn that they’re no good at talking about TV shows.

John & Pat look at 2 pioneers of sketch comedy who apparently share the same gender, though they’re above noticing such things in today’s post-racial utopia. Also, an easy-to-understand explanation of nucleosynthesis! Truly, this episode is a gift to the universe

John & Pat use two corny old-rime radio mysteries as a springboard to discussing the greater mysteries of existence, such as “Huh?” and “Derr?” Also, a chat with the ghost of William F. Buckley.

John & Pat have nothing to say, and they say it longer than usual in this Very Special Episode with no theme. You may laugh, you may cry, but you certainly won’t laugh. Life is tragedy.

Pat & John take some time to get to know the people behind the world-famous personas with a game of 20 (or so) questions. You’ll be surprised and delighted by the answers! But mostly bored and itchy.

John & Pat almost come to fisticuffs when attempting to classify the awfulness of one of these films (I think you can guess which one). They’re just like Siskel & Ebert! Only. Not good. Two thumbs up!
