On the heels of the 6 Academy Awards Nominations for his film, ‘The Trial of the Chicago 7’, we’ve decided to dedicate an entire episode (and a bit) to the pen- and now lens- of the great Aaron Sorkin. The boys list their respective Sorkin Top 3s, then discuss and praise ‘Moneyball’ (07:43) and ‘A Few Good Men’ (12:55) with Bankole gladly defending his love of ‘The Newsroom’ (10:41).

They then head to a lonely Harvard dorm room after a terrible date and unpack The BEST FILM OF THE LAST DECADE, ‘The Social Network’ (18:24) including just how well the movie has aged (21:24), how much truth is needed when telling a ‘true story' (25:28), why it deserves the crown of Best Film of the Decade (37:36), their best scenes (45:03) and best quotes (1:08:41).

Finally, they discuss Aaron Sorkin’s latest- the biographical ensemble courtroom drama, ‘The Trial of the Chicago (48:23).

David Fincher's 'Mank' just received a leading 10 Oscar nominations for the 2021 Academy Awards, so there was no way the boys weren't going to discuss the new film from one of the patron saints of the podcast. They look at Fincher's earlier filmography with a deep dive into his 2007 masterpiece, Zodiac (18:43), before discussing Orson Welles' 1941 classic, 'Citizen Kane' and its continued impact on modern cinema (34:51), then rounding off the discussion by going all-in on Fincher's 10 times Oscar-nominated film, 'Mank', about the other co-writer of 'Citizen Kane'- the notorious Herman J. Mankiewicz (46:22).

There may or may not be some mention of another Fincher classic from 2010.

The nominees for the 2021 Academy Awards have been announced and Bankole and Obiora, surprisingly, are really fond of a majority of the nominations. They try to make some sense of both Lakeith Stanfield and Daniel Kaluuya being nominated in the Best Supporting Actor category for 'Judas and the Black Messiah' (02:29) and discuss the almost inevitable posthumous Oscar win for the late, great Chadwick Boseman for 'Ma Rainey's Black Bottom' (13:45).

They also discuss more snubs, surprises and silly decisions before Obiora mentions why he couldn't finish 'Coming 2 America' (38:58).
