So many people think that being meek, is being weak. But the Saviour teaches us that meeting in the life of the Christian is a blessing, and certainly not weakness.

Pharaoh had made it clear that he did not know, nor wanted to know the God of Israel, as he played the tyrant in his treatment of the children of Israel. But God would tame the tyrant.

The world cannot understand how anyone could possible be blessed when they are mourning. Yet, the dear Saviour tells us that indeed it is possible, and He teaches us how indeed such a blessing is possible.

We know that Satan is powerful, but our God is all powerful. Satan will try to imitate the work of God, and even fool those who are not aware of his deceptive ways. We must learn not to be taken in be the cunning ways of Sata.

Most people in the world today, are in search for that which will bring them satisfaction and true happiness. The Lord Jesus has told us how men may know and experience true happiness, He has shown us the way.

The gauntlet had been thrown down, now the battle would begin in earnest, between the king of Egypt and the King of Glory. There would only be one victor, and the children of Israel would be delivered out of the house of bondage.

Before the Saviour preached the sermon on the mount, He demonstrated that He is the greatest Preacher who ever walked this earth. He has set a perfect example of what a preached of the word ought to be.

The gantlet had been throne down, it was now a battle between good and evil, between the king of Egypt and the King of glory. God now prepares His servants for the battle ahead, before Jehovah would be victorious. The Lord always prepares His servants for the work He wants them to do.

When the Lord purged the temple, the disciples remembered the words of the Psalmist describing the Lord's zeal for God's house. We ought to follow the Saviour's example and have a holy zeal for our place of worship.

When sent by God to preach the Word, the results may not be what we expect, indeed we may not see any results at all. But, the Lord would have us to go on preaching and leave the results to Him.
