The Minnesota Wild chased Carter Hart and throttled the Vegas Golden Knights 5-2 Monday night in Vegas to start their 7 game road trip 2-0. The Wild scored 5 goals against Carter Hart in just over 26 minutes. As they scored 2 goals in the first, and 3 goals in the second. Marcus Johansson, Matt Boldy, Joel Eriksson Ek, Jared Spurgeon and Brock Faber scored in the win, and Filip Gustavsson stopped 14 of 16 shots in net for the Wild. The Wild were 2/2 on the Penalty Kill and 0/2 on the Power Play, and blocked 20 shots. The Wild will head to San Jose for a New Year's Eve afternoon matinee for their next game.
