The Minnesota Wild picked up a 2-1 win over the Carolina Hurricanes at home Thursday night. The Wild improved to 32-19-4, and 12-12-1 at home with the win. Filip Gustavsson was superb in net for the Wild, stopping 38 of 39 shots, and the Wild got scoring from Yakov Trenin and Vinnie Hinostroza to back Gus. The Hurricanes were trailing 2-0 in the final minutes before Sebastian Aho scored with an extra attacker to cut the lead to 2-1. But Gustavsson slammed the door shut ant the Wild picked up a much needed win at home. The Wild held the Hurricanes off the board on 2 Power Play attempts, but were 0-3 on the Power Play themselves. The Wild host the New York Islanders on Saturday in their final game before the 4 Nations break.
