The Minnesota Wild dropped the game of a pivotal week in their playoff chase as they fell to the Dallas Stars 3-0 in Dallas Monday night. The Stars scored their first 2 goals in a 60 second span in the second period, on a Power Play goal from Wyatt Johnston on the Power Play, and Matt Duchene to take a 2-0 lead. The Stars scored an empty net goal courtesy of Mason Marchment at the end of the game to seal the scoring. The Wild had some chances, but could not solve Jake Oettinger, as he recorded a shut out win and the Wild went 0-4 on the Power Play. The Wild fall to 40-26-5 on the season, and maintain a 4 point lead on St. Louis with the Blues idle Monday. The Wild will host Vegas tomorrow night for their next game. Declan Chisholm left the game midway through the second period and did not return, which could mean Cameron Crotty is pressed into emergency duty tomorrow night.
