The Minnesota Wild dropped their third straight game as they fell 5-4 in Overtime to the New York Rangers. The Wild fell to 41-28-7 with the loss. The Wild led 1-0 on Gustav Nyquist's 1st goal with the Wild on the Power Play. Th Rangers rallied to tie before Brock Faber scored his 8th goal of the season to make it 2-1 after 1. The Rangers scored 2 straight to take a 3-2 lead, Marcus Johansson scored a shorthanded goal to tie the score at 3. The Rangers scored on a breakaway to make it 4-3 after 2 periods. Marco Rossi scored the lone goal in the 3rd, Marco Rossi's 23rd of the year, and Vincent Trochek scored 24 seconds into Overtime to seal the win. Filip Gustavsson stopped 34 of 39 shots in net for the Wild, and the Wild went 1/2 on the Power Play and 4/4 on the Penalty Kill. The Wild face the Islanders Friday in their next game.
