The Minnesota Wild fell to the Seattle Kraken 5-4 in a shootout to conclude their 2 game homestand before a 7 game road trip. The Wild fell to 1-0-1 and lead 2-0 thanks to goals from Mats Zuccarello and Matt Boldy, before Jordan Eberle scored 2 straight to tie the score. Kirill Kaprizov scored his first of the season to make it 3-2, but Seattle again rallied to tie. Ryan Hartman scored his first of the season to make it 4-3, but the Kraken rallied to send the game to overtime. After a scoreless OT, Mats Zuccarello scored in the shootout before Kirill Kaprizov and Matt Boldy missed their opportunities. Marc-Andre Fleury stopped 30 of 34 shots n the loss. Joel Eriksson Ek was injured in the game, briefly returned but left the game and did not return. The Wild play at Winnipeg tomorrow at 5.
