The Minnesota Wild got wiped up and down the ice by the Edmonton Oilers losing by a score of 7-1 at Xcel Energy Center. The Wild lost Jake Middleton on his first shift of the game after he blocked a shot, and the defense was out of sync the rest of the night. Freddy Gaudreau scored the lone goal for the Wild on the Power Play. Filip Gustavsson surrendered 5 goals on 26 shots and was pulled after 2 periods. The Wild will host Philadelphia on Saturday for their next game as the Wild hold their breath for an update on Middleton.
