POTUS Franklin Pierce may not be top-of-mind when you think about the Presidency, but just like the All Star’s of the White House, his decisions and plans were terribly consequential.  At the top of the list, how he dealt with the raging debate over slavery.  Both sides saw him as a compromiser, but were frustrated when his attempts to please everyone, never really settled anything.  It wasn’t all bad for him though, he did have some Win’s, but nowhere near enough to get a 2nd chance to avert Civil War.  He’s the president you probably don’t know much about…but you should!  Handsome Frank, Franklin Pierce, is on this episode of American POTUS!
