Risk taking can be scary but successful people take risks.  As educators we have to be willing to think outside the box.  What if you viewed risk taking as an opportunity instead of a doom for failure? What could your world be like?  How would you influence?

In this episode, we discuss the fact that You Can't Effect What You Don't Affect.  Human connection is so important.  Influence can make great impressions upon the lives of people.  John Maxwell says successful people: 1). Know their purpose; 2). Live to their greatest potential; and 3). They sow into others lives.  You are an ordained educator, you sow into others lives.  What are you sowing? How are you influencing?  Do you affect? Success is your destiny! Let's make it happen!

I am we is what the word ubuntu means.  We are powerful beyond measure when we work together.  No man is an island.  As educators, let's collaborate more with our teams to get the change we desire.  By changing the letter "i" to the letters "we", you can literally transform the word illness into wellness.  What educational "illnesses" would you like to solve?  What professional  "illnesses" would you like to change?  Let's do it. After all, we are PROBLEM SOLVERS, and it all begins by working together.  I am because we are! - Ubuntu

In this episode you are challenged to do the small things in a great way.  Its those things that will compound over time.  According to Darren Hardy, one of my favorite authors and coaches, its the small, smart choices added to consistency and time that will make radical differences for you. Let's do this! Start small but give it your all!

The Domino Effect is so amazing.  As a kid I loved playing with dominoes.  As an educator I loved watching children when they would see the intricate domino design fall in such a splendor! We can be dominoes and be the start of something great. Happy Wednesday!

How are we doing? It’s check in time.

In this episode we discuss the importance of taking care of yourself. As servers of people we sometimes have the tendency to be so busy helping others that we often forget to take care of self.

There is no surprise that February and March can be a rough months for some educators. As educators, we start feeling more stressed or burned out, especially those of us in high demanding areas or subjects. For example, if you work with students with behavioral challenges this can take a toil on you. So know this and be forward thinking. Let’s prepare ourselves for it up front by using a strategy.  I use SWOT to help me with my life goals as well as my educational career.  SWOT stands for strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.

If you are stressed please talk to a health care provider.  We need you!

I stated in the episode that there were from tips from The HOPE LINE website.  Here is the link:

I am always available if you have questions.  I can be reached at: [email protected]
(NOTE: I am NOT a licensed mental health professional but I am available to share tips and strategies that worked for me.)

Also, give me feedback.  Can you share something with me?  Tell me something I can try better at next time or tell me something I was effective at on this podcast.  Feedback is the breakfast of champions so please feed me.  Thanks.
