Our Lone Star story of the day: Beware misleading national news service headlines: SpaceX’s test of Super Heavy and Starship from Texas this morning was a huge success as well as a big step forward.
Space historian Robert Zimmerman of behindtheblack.com joins us to discuss the big test. See: SpaceX’s Superheavy/Starship successfully launches. “The flight achieved almost all of its test goals, and far exceeded what was accomplished on the previous test launch in November.”
Here is an example of misleading and negative headlines:

Bush appointees and others on the U.S. Judicial Conference sellout federalism and conservative states by adopting a rule on “judge shopping” that does nothing but assist Leftists. Justice Ho is right, “Judges are supposed to follow the laws enacted by Congress, not bend the rules in response to political pressure.” Even the turtle, McConnell gets how bad this is.

Given how most all important election integrity items were mucked up in the House, is this entire area, election integrity, one that Speaker Phelan implicitly agreed to give Dems power to kill in order to have their votes for Speaker of the House?

Our Lone Star story of the day: Abortion clinic “waste” hauled into Amarillo for disposal from many places outside of Texas. Texas’ anti-abortion laws do not address the disposal of the remains of an unborn child killed by an elective abortion outside the State of Texas at a waste management facility inside the State of Texas. Mark Lee Dickson joins us to discuss this gruesome story.

Our Lone Star story of the day: The illegal alien charged with murdering Laken Riley “easily” entered our country despite links to a bloodthirsty gang – NY Post’s “bombshell” report. Democrats simply don’t care and do not want real border security or deportation of aliens who commit crimes as evidenced by 170 of the voting against the Laken Riley Act yesterday.
Democrats do, however want walls. It’s just that they want walls to protect themselves from American citizens. They want no walls to protect America from its enemies.

Our Lone Star story of the day: More election follow-up including who advocating for and supporting homosexuality is central to the Texas Democratic Party and a key statehouse runoff. Also, more of the Leftwing effort that almost worked to unseat one of Texas most conservative Supreme Court justices. And, Abbott has already issued a runoff endorsement: Katrina Pierson over RINO state Rep. Justin Holland.

The news of Texas covered today includes:
Our Lone Star story of the day: Full election review. After halfway efforts in the past, Gov. Greg Abbott finally wen all-in as a leader and dealt a big blow to the Texas House RINO aristocracy. Eight, likely nine, outright wins over anti-school choice incumbents and four others, including the Drinker of the House Dade Phelan, now in runoffs to try and hold their seats!
Primary runoff election date is 28 May 2024.
Phelan was number two in votes in the three-way race for his House seat and the runoff will likely be classic bare-knuckled Texas politics of a very entertaining nature. Even if Phelan wins reelection, it is unlikely he will survive to remain as speaker. It simply doesn’t serve members’ interests to have their body’s leader locked in a war with the Governor and Lieutenant Governor all session – and it is all of Phelan’s making by the way.
One great thing is that in the five person race for Railroad Commissioner, incumbent Christi Craddick appears to have won it outright which means no statewide GOP runoff election will be required – great news for all county chairmen!
There will be big runoffs for a state senate seat (SD30), for Congressional seats, including incumbent Tony Gonzalez in TX23, and runoffs for several key Texas House seats. It should be fun.

Our Lone Star story of the day: Last night the U.S. Supreme Court blocked the enforcement of Texas Senate Bill 4 which allows the state to arrest illegal border crossers, and more, until the Court decides what it will do with the case. Meanwhile, the great Paul Bedard reports on a Biden program that should shock Americans: Biden secretly dumped 320,000 ‘inadmissible’ illegal immigrants into US cities. These are people flying directly into the U.S. from Latin America, not crossing the land border.

Our Lone Star story of the day: Two big court decisions today. The U.S. Supreme Court issues a “unanimous” decision that states cannot remove Trump, or any other federal candidate, under the insurrection clause of the 14th Amendment – it was really a 5 to 4 opinion.
The Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals issued a stay against Judge Ezra’s order of last week that prevents Texas from enforcing SB4 that allows state arrests for illegally crossing the border. However, the court has put a 7-day pause on the issue to give the Supreme Court time to react.
