Ash Wednesday Prayer

Lord Jesus,
 From the beginning of time, you have seen us and known us.
 You have watched us rise and fall, dream and despair,
 and still, you have called us your own.

On this day of ashes and repentance,
 remind us of who we truly are 
 your beloved, shaped from dust, yet held in grace.

Grant us hearts that turn toward you,
 trusting in your mercy,
 renewed by your steadfast love.
