  • The Renewing Of The Mind
As we are now in 2019, many believers appear to still struggle with understanding how to live like christ? As indicated in the bible according to apostle Paul writing to the church as he encouraged them, "with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self and put on the new self, created to be like God in true rightousness and holiness."
So how do one actually do that? How do one build a healthier life? How can one stop repeating negative patterns in their life and focus on living out the positive patterns? How can one speak the truth into their pain so that one can live in peace? How can one take off the old self and put on the new self?

  • Let It Go
When it comes to letting go of things or people such can be a challenge for many. 2018 is over and as we enter into the first month of 2019 many have made promises to change, prosper and grow in many areas of their life. Be it personal or relational letting go means being willing to allow life to carry one into a new place or developing a new attitude. As a child I use to hear my elders say perhaps trimming the fat.
To let it go. The it can be anything. However it must be identified and acknowledged. If not it will turn into pain, hurt and resentment. Many have declared that they have let go and let God yet continue to struggle with forgiving themself or the one that they feel mayhave hurt them.
Join me and the callers as we discuss tips on how to let go, understanding the process and the importance of forgiveness. Life is precious and time is short. Wasting time depletes one's energy. 2019 should bring about change so let's let somethings go.

  • How To Worship During Your Storm
Storms very in the lives of individuals. Many are going through, been through or will go through. But in the mist of your storm do you or will you still worship and praise God? There are times when many want to give in and perhaps give up. But what many Believers and Non Believers may not be aware of is that is when we need God most. The enemy's goal is for one to withdraw from his presence. One then may start to believe the lie that God has forsaken them. Problem is when storms hit one's life show up in the presence of God. Let the enemy know that you will run and get even closer to God.
I had a person tell me today, I pray. I cry out to God and he does not answer my prayer. This did not surprise me as I have heard such before. In my response I explored the person's faith in a non- judgemental way. Think about the story of Noah In Genesis 6-9:17. Storms will come and go. Yet ones faith, trust in God, praise and worship will  get them through. With all that is going on don't lose your joy. If you are struggling, drowning or losing hope let's talk about it.
Praise and worship leaders can only do so much.Join Pastor Daniel Estell and I as he provide biblical teachings and principles as it relates to the Word Of God. Such will encourage, make you laugh, think, smile and challenge your faith or strengthen your faith as you praise and worship God during your storm. • Parenting Teens And Young Adults
Being a parent is not an easy task. As one give birth a book with instructions were not attached with the child. So as the child age many challenges can occur. One must take into account their parenting style, cultural and religious belief, past trauma or upbringing, current living, relational situation with the other parent, and the emotion and development of the child. Let's not forget about those that are raising a child that they did not give birth to yet are raising or providing care for. Taking that into consideration the transition into a teenager and young adulthood can create a nightmare for both the parent and teen or young adult.
With the way our society is going, the different types of things that our teens and young adults are exposed to adapting to the personality changes of another can strengthen or break the parenting bond that one may have had previously. This can also create issues with respect, communication, entitlement issues, not to mention teaching your teen or young adult to be a responsible productive member of society. Let's talk about it. Many parents are missing the warning signs. One should not parent out of guilt. When one know better they can do better.

  • The Importance Of Premarital Counseling
Is love really enough to make a marriage work? As a licensed marriage and family therapist I have come to believe that one's interprepation of love varies. And in some cases love may not have anything to do with it. So before one decides to marry an individual, what should one do? With the high number of divorces not to mention the high number of individuals that are involved in unhealthy or relationships where there may be issues with domestic violence or other areas of concern we must do something different. I now believe that one should seek assistance before they make a decision to even date. This could save individuals a lot of time, money and heart ache. But is that really realistic. So before one make that decision try premarital counseling.
Marriage is special to God and should be to us. Premarital counseling helps individual improve their ability to communicate, set realistic expectations for the marriage and develop conflict resolution skills. It can also assist couples establish a positive attitude about seeking help throughout their relationship.
One may have many questions as it relates to premarital counseling. Others are still going to do what they want despite the red flags or what others may advise including a professional. I have been married enough times to disucuss the importance of premarital counseling. We have free will. And marriage is honorable. Again, I believe we should explore such counseling while dating just to make sure one is compatible and should even be considering marriage. So let's talk about it. Join Minister Kesia Carter andI as we discuss this topic. A dumb question is a question not asked. Don't wait too late to find out about your mate.
