Are you single and saved? Many individuals struggle with the term being single. And when it comes to being and living a saved life it can be more complicated. As we are approaching what appears to be a love holiday being single may not appear to be appealing especially when one watches movies and television shows not to mention hearing love songs that will being playing everywhere. It appears that there is a stigma to push the concept that one may not be truly complete until one has found a significant other. And for some it may bring back memories or pain.

Many individuals have indicated that they are single by choice as others may say that they became single by circumstances. There has been several studies as it relates to being single. With Valentine Day shortly approaching many individuals will be trying to find that perfect gift for the one they love. Many use to say that such was a day made especially for females however times have changed. This day is also popular with kids teens and tweens. Not to mention that many family members will also be taking the time to tell others that they love them.

Are you aware of your assignment from God? How do you know if it is God's assignment or your agenda? God creates every individual for a specific assignment on earth. It is written that before God formed you in your mother's womb, He knew you and ordained you for a specific  task here on earth. If you read your bible it will provide information of the specific asssignemnts were for Moses, Joshua, David and Solomon just to name a few.

Life on earth has no meaning or purpose when you do not know why God placed you on earth yet along why he is keeping you here on earth. Life can also be complicated when you are ignoring or refusing to do what you are suppose to be doing. Then one may question, " How do I know what my assignemnt is?' Is it something I want to do or is it what God has assigned me to do? not to mention,  what if I don't want to do it?

When it comes to dating do you know, understand or adhere to the process? Valentine's Day is approaching. Many have either reentered back into the dating arena and othesr are just getting started. As a lisensed marriage and family therapist it has come to my attention that many individuals old and young struggle in this area as we often miss the mark. This can lead to assumptions, failed marriages and heartaches along with other things. If done properly it can be a beautiful experience if you are with a person that also understand the process of dating.

How is your relationship with God? Often many have said before you make any decisions, "What did the Lord say?" Individuals have also inquired, "What did Jesus say?" Our lives can sometimes feel like a constant noise. We often want an answer to our life challenges until do we really hear the voice of God? Or is it that we do what we want and later say that it was God? Interesting enough we knew it was our own voice yet we were hoping to hear from Him. Today, as I was preparing for this topic after having the song ring in my spirit, "God Is Trying To Tell You Something." My God brother asked me what does God's voice sound like? I was not going to make up something so I did not answer his question. What I learned from that converation is that your relationship with God plays a vital role in knowing and hearing His voic. That made a lot of sense as to why individuals would pray especially when things are going wrong and become impatient when they don't get an immediate response.

So, when you are seeking the answer to one of life's challenges and you don"t want to get it wrong or make a bad decision there is some good news. God is speaking to you all the time. It's the nature of God' to speak to His children. God wants to have fellowship with you and he wants you to hear Him all the time not just when you want something. As a Believer you don't have to go through life blindly making decisions relying on your own abilities. When you learn how to tune in with God's voice you will hear Him. According to the New Testament, it is written that Jesus said, He who has ears to hear, let him hear, " 15 different times.

When it comes to trust many individuals have lived long enough to have been through something where their trust in someone or something has been broken or challenged. Such can leave scars, doubt and problems with moving forward in other relationships or life endeavours. My question is what is trust? I have heard individuals say that they only trust God or their mama. Only to learn that such is often just a figure of speech. What about trusting oneself?

There are also individuals that have been in relationships or business deals were trust was broken.Many have had situations were they have been betrayed by individuals close to them including their parents or other family members. One must also be aware of their innermost feelings and share their thoughts. One must also learn how to be honest and trustworthy. This does not mean that you can trust any and everyone. However if your trust has been broken don't punish yourself. Invest in yourself. Learn how to identify untrustworthy individuals and develop healthy relationships.

Some individuals are who they are and until they decide to change don"t let them change you. Even if it feels impossible it is worth it to set youself free. Learn how to Rebuild Trust or become Trustworthy.

In our world today many live such a busy life. Many are trying to balance work, family, church and what is going on in the world. However what about God? There are so many things that are going on theses days that many are often consumed with unnecessary things. All of which are considered distractions. When one become distracted they are not focused or paying attention.

A few weeks ago I was questioned as it relates to what is happing in our world. I responded by telling the person, "I am in the world but not of the world." My response startled the person. As I had to remind the individual that it can be very easy to become distracted from God. Some of the most common distractions are money, media, church/religion, relationships, routine, our work, hobbies, our wants, our pastors, politics, and lastly ourselves.

The month of January is Human Sex Trafficking Awareness Month. Human Sex Trafficking is the third largest international crime industry. It reportedly generates a profit of over 32 billion dollars every year. Of that 15 billion is made is made in industilized countries. The International Labour Organization estimates that women and girls represent the largest share of forced labor victims with 11.4 million trafficked. However when it comes to Human Trafficking it is known as the New Form Of Slavery.

We must do something to help our women and children. According to estimates 80% of trafficking involves sexual expolitation and 19% involves labor exploitation. According to the U.S States Department 600,000 to 800,000 people are trafficked across international boarders every year, of which 80% are females and half are children. The average teen enters the sex trade in the U.S. is 12 to 14 years of age. Many victims are runaway girls who were sexually abused as children.Young men can also be trafficked.  It was once reported that California harbors 3 of the FBI's 13 highest child sex trafficking areas in the nation.

Sex Trafficking occurs when someone uses force, fraud or coercion to cause a commericial sex act with an adult or minor to commit a commerical sex act. The Commericial Sex Act includes prostitution, pronography and sexual perofrmance done in exchange for any item of value, such as money, drugs, shelter, food of clothes.Traffickers find their victims through social neworks, home neighborhoods, clubs or bars, internet and schools.

Understanding the healing power of God can cause a lot of doubt for both Believers and Non Believers as many can become impatient and demanding as to how, who and when they want God to perform. However, God can perform miracles to heal physically, spiritually and emotionally though his power. There are many scriptures that talks about the healing power of god. There are also individual that can attest to actually being healed. The Word of God can be your healing source. Don't give up.

In todays society children are not like they use to be. This is causing many parents to question themselves or perhaps get into trouble with CPS or law enforcement. Such can also cause a discord within ones relationship with the other parent which can cause havoc within the household.

Keeping that in mind, children have their own personality. It seems that one of the most challenging can be that of a strong willed child. And speaking from experience I myself was one. Strong willed children can be a challenge when they are young, but if parented appropriatley they can become terrific teens and young adults.. They can be self motivated and inner directed. They will go after what they want and are almost impervious to peer pressure. As long as parents and others resist the impulse to break their will a strong willed child can often become great leaders.
