  • Parenting Scars
Scars from childhood can take on many forms. Often the scars are not visable until adulthood. Yet the scars can affect how one view the world as well as themself. We know that there is no such thing as a perfect parent. Many individuals also parent the way they were parented. And lets not forget those that try to do the total opposite of their parents.
While specific circumstancs will vary. The roots can be deep. There may be situations were one may have been un-or-underparented. Others may have had parents that may have been abusive, or emotionally, mentally unavailable. Blaming another for how one feels does not help the situation. Ones feelings are valid however, If ones parent changes or perhaps are no longer alive what is one to do to heal from their childhood scars.
Join Jeanette Abney and others as we discuss this topic. The goal is not to blame ones parents. It is to take steps to heal and become a better person as an effort to stop the pain, develop healthy relationships, and recover from one childhood scars. This show is designed for both parents as well as the child or the adult child. Let's heal and mend those broken relationships. Live 3/25/19. Call 516 387-1914 to join in on the conversation.

  • Wake Up
Do you recall as a child being told that the early bird gets the worm? I recall that saying yet truly never knew what it meant. As a child we were taught to take a nap. Or when things in life would become too much many of us were told to take a nap or go to sleep. Could such have become a learned behavior? And could it be that many of us are still asleep? Or could it be that we are perhaps just being slient or playing dead. However now is the time for us to really pay attention and wake up.
With all that is going on in the world many individuals are turning away from social media, television and the radio. Such can become overwhemling and depressing. However, are we also turning away form what God is trying to tell us. Or perhaps written in his Word. Join Pastor Daniel Estell and I as we disuss this topic live 3/19/19 at 11:30am. • Do Not Pick Your Own Rib
When it comes to relationships many become baffled and confused as we struggle with understanding God's Plan and purpose for our life. Many have heard scriptures quoted as it relates to, "Adam was put to sleep," It is not meant for man to live alone," and let's not forget about Genesis 2:24 " Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh." So how did this all start? What was the purpose of God putting Adam asleep taking his rib and making woman? How do you really know if someone is your soul or helpmate?
Join Pastor Daniel Estell and I as we discuss this topic. It seems today that many are now out there seaching and trying to pick their own rib. Live 3/12/19 at 11:30am Pacific. Tod join in on the conversation call 516 387-1914

  • Will God Bless In Mess
We know that God is a loving and forgiving God. However It seems like many believers and non believers often take God for granted. Many want to do things and live lifestyles that goes against the word of God and then will say, " I'm only human." "Only God can judge me" And let's not forget, " God is a forgiving God"
As a child I recall my parent s telling me get out of here with that mess. Some individuals have also been called a hot mess. Question is do we really know what the mess is? Or could it be that we have become comfortable living in our mess. Is the mess a sin? So what is a person to do? Many want the blessing of God just like we wanted things from our parents. Which brings me back to the topic, " Will God Bless In Mess?" Join Pastor Daniel Estell and I as we discuss this topic live 3/5/19 at 11:30am Pacific. • Wrongfully Accused
When is comes to the Criminal Justice System such appears to be full of flaws. In the United States many have seen the innocent being wrongfully accused and may have served lenghtly sentences or perhaps have been placed on death row or put to death while many that have committed crimes have either been set free, given a shorter sentence or perhaps were not even arrested. With such going on what is one to do when they have been accused of a crime that they did not commit. I have often heard individuals say that they took deals by plea bargaining as they just wanted to be released from custody only to later declare their innocence. Then comes another concern which relates to if the punishment fits the crime.
It is known that the United States incarcerates more people in both absolute numbers and per capita than any other nation. American taxpayers spend billions of dollars each year to keep millions of individuals behind bars. So what can we do about this issue. • Unsaved Love Ones
Last week a question was raised before the end of the show as it relates to, "If your spouse is not saved is your house out of order?" That posed an interesting questions as many believers may be married, dating or connected to an unsaved spouse, child, or family member. It was once said that, A family that prays together stays together." So what is one to do if the unsaved is not interested in becoming saved? This can be draining on the relationship and cause issues in the home. Join Pastor Daniel Estell and I as we address this issue. Live 2/26/19 at 11:30am Pacific. Call 516 387-1914 to join in on the conversation. Or you can listen live or later at any time.

Our family history will be revealed in many ways. Whether it was good or bad it can have an enormous impact upon or relationship with others including our partners whether we realize it or not. Ones childhood baggage can impacts ones relationship such can also determine if ones relationship will last. • Getting Your House In Order
`Many have ofter hear the term, " Tomorrow is not promised to nobody." Or the phrase, " We are living in our last days." However what does that really mean. I have attended several homegoing celebrations and have heard the pastor say, " Is your house in order?" That is a question that often leave individuals very confused for both believers and non believers. I have heard individuals say,  " I am not concerned about what happens to me." Others have went out of their way to make preparations yet having others do thing opposite of the persons wishes. So with that being said, " Is your house in order?'
Join the pastor and I as we discuss this topic. We will provide clarity as to what it means to get your house in order with your faith, family, finances, and future. There are also other things that an individual can do. Live 2/19/19 at 11:30am Pacific. Call 516 387-1914 if you would like to join in on the conversation.

  • Ghosting
In 2011 a new term origniated called, "Ghosting." Many may not have heard of such of a term but others may have experienced such. Ghosting is breaking off a relationship by ceasing all forms of communication and contact with the former partner without any apparent warning or justification, as well as ignoring the former partner's attempts to reach out or communicate. It appears that 27% of women and 14% of men reported having been ghosted. 24% of women and 17% of men have ghosted another. 23% of women and 36% of men reported never experencing ghosting in any capacity. 26% of women and 33% of men reported both either ghosting or being ghosted.
Ghosting does not pertain to a certain gender. It appears to be closely related to one's maturity and communication skills. People who ghost appear to be primarily focused on avoiding their own emotional discomfort. They may not be thinnking about how it makes the other person feel. Therefore one should not take it personal.
Ghosting is the ultimate use of the silent treatment. It is a form of emotional cruelty. Join my special guest and I as well as the callers as we discuss this topic. We will provided information regarding how to know if you are about to be ghosted. How to heal without becoming angry if you have been ghosted. Why individuals ghost others? As the different types of ghosters one should avoid. If you are a ghoster and wants help to stop such behavior this show will also be for for you. Live 2/18/19 at 12pm Pacific.
