Ohio State football's resume for the first College Football Playoff rankings of the 2024 season is set.

It heads into Tuesday night with a 7-1 record, a road win over a top-five opponent and a one-point loss to another top-five opponent in another road game. That should be enough to contend for a spot as high as No. 2, right?
