Jesus was the spotless Lamb...the Lamb without blemish. In this passage of Luke, we simply see the grace of God in that Jesus is once again identifying with those He came to save!

“I Believe in you”…this is the confession of so many. As we continue in this series seeking to answer this question, “Why Believe?”, it is a passage like this one that we are looking at that points to the authenticity of the message of Jesus Christ.

The choice of what people did with Jesus in the day in which He lived is the same choice that people have to make about Jesus today. We can believe…trust in Him…and rise. Or we can do exactly what the mass majority of the people did with Jesus and that is reject Him…say no to His lordship in our lives…and as a result fall away. Either way, there is no middle ground. Christ demands that you do something with Him! So what will it be?

No one is too far...no one too dirty...no one too trenched in sin, that this message cannot touch their heart and save their soul! God loves you. For those of you considering the question, "Why Believe?"…look at God becoming man and find in that manger every reason you need to trust Him and call on Him as Lord.

We all have a decision to make. We will either humble ourselves and recognize our need for God...OR...we can walk in our pride and watch a holy God stand in opposition to us. The choice is ours to make…humble ourselves or let God do it for us. Be like Mary! Don’t let your eyes wonder to your circumstances…don’t let your emotions pull you away from God…worship….worship….worship this God that can do the impossible!

God hears…and God cares. THAT is why He sent Jesus. He also sent Jesus because He knew man’s greatest need was to be forgiven of sin and made in a right relationship with God. And the darkness in your life can fade away in an instant if you will just “call upon his name”.
