Pretty Cool Haircut

The episode so nice I edited it twice. In case you didn't know, it's the end of 2019 and with that comes the end of year best of lists. I bet up until now you thought, "a voice is missing from the end of year video game discussion". Well now has come and I am happy to present the first annual Pretty Cool Haircut Awards. See what your friends the Haircut Boiz thought of the offerings of 2019 and what our pick for game of the decade is. Also discussed on this episode: The Mall of America, Pitbull, various international landmarks, Demon's Tilt, The Last Gamer, Virtua Formula, 2 very specific local restaurants, and so much more. I don't know, you'd think I'd remember but I don't. Happy Honda Days.

In addition to that also hear about these topics: Blacksad, a little tiny bit of Death Stranding talk, not as much as you might expect considering the game is now out, Dirty Reedus, Overwatch 2, Diablo 4, tons of Mortal Kombat talk, Total Recall, Demolition Man, Polygon's top 10 games of the decade, Final Fantasy 7 original and remake, a quick personal gear rundown and like more things that I can't think of. Please enjoy the second episode in a row where we mention doomed department store Kohls.

Welcome everyone to the first ever episode of Pretty GHOUL Haircut. But not actually it's just a regular episode. Good morning honies, the mighty podcast juggernaut known as Pretty Cool Haircut has returned with a bombastic new episode for your casual consumption. Let me ask you a question. What do you know about VR? That's incredible, listen to this video game podcast to find out what we think about VR. On this episode we talk: our field trip to the Mall of America, how the Mall of America was integral to my education, a roller coaster that they have at the Mall of America, Death Stranding, Control, Celeste, Nintendo, E3, Pokemon Sword and Shield, Link's Awakening, Luigi's Mansion, Tecmo's Deception, covert Chewbacca noises, and much much more. Have a listen babies.

What's up America, here is the new new fresh shit you've been waiting for. Up top let me just say, we almost exclusivly talk about Dark Souls 3 on this episode. If you haven't played the game and are intending to, just listen to the news and turn it off. If you want to hear us beat by beat talk about the entire game press on, we realize this is a very niche episode but it had to be done. Aside from that we also speak about: Mortal Kombat 11, Jack Nicholas, Jack Nicholson, Old Terminators, Old Snake (kind of), M.U.G.E.N, I read a couple of fantastic listener emails, we say the name of three semi contemporary anime and also at least one ancient one. I also use the Snake Eater theme for some transition music which I'm pumped about it. Light that bonfire you little tiny baby ashen ones.

What's up doggies? JJ had his baby and we are dipping into our prerecorded episode pool for the first of our Just a Trim Episodes (there is only one episode in this pool). On this episode we talk exclusively about MMORPGs. Games that are mentioned: Ultima Online, Black Desert Online, Asheron's Call, Everquest, Everquest 2, World of Warcraft, Final Fantasy 11 and 14, some other dookie ass games I've never heard of. We also brainstorm what our perfect MMO would contain. Give it a listen.
