Private Dicks

This Episode we are hired by... I don't think we caught her name...

She brings us a historical case that we demolish within 2 hours of hearing it.

Not only do we figure out what happened to the Lost Colony of Roanoke, but we also learn about privateers, what a planter is and fun sailing terms that Richard actually likes.

We also hear that maybe Abigail isn't in jail?

Today, Darron Wood, executive producer of the hit podcast Defense Diaries, hires US to solve a case for HIM.

As a New Orleans guy, this one has been haunting him his whole life, who was the Axeman of New Orleans.

The Dicks take the case and, spoiler alert, we figured it out.

All the way we learned about how the Axeman didn't like a very specific group of people, Italian Culture and how the Axeman brought an entire city to the dance floor for one night under threat of death if they did not.

If you thought Darron was great, well his podcast is too, go check it out https://defensediaries.com/

This episode, The Dicks help the Aussies from Unethical Podcast, Kristy and Beau, solve one of their most mysterious cases.

The Tamam Shud Case. The Somerton Man. You know him, you love him, WE know who he is.

We learned so much Australian stuff, like what a PAAsti is, how the provinces are divided, and why no one would even think twice seeing a passed out man in a suit near the beach

Anywho, it was easy, listen to find out how we solved it this time. All we needed to solve this case was to look and study the following websites:

We are back, we are paid, we are rested and Abigail is in Jail.

Well, she did call us, and now we have to solve a case for her or she will be visiting our family

So under duress, we are now solving what happened to Jimmy Hoffa all those years ago.

We learned about so much this episode, like what a teamster is, how much Hoffa hated the Kennedys, smoothie king icemen, and the Strawberry Strike.

Good thing we are good at our jobs, cause we solved this in no time flat.

Sorry guys, no case today!

I wanted to take a break from writing episodes.

So hence the break between seasons

So instead of writing and recording an episode, Vigil had a good idea of just a mini episode making fun of Canada.

So that's what I set out to do, make a mini episode with Abigail and Officer Virgil making fun of Canada.

Then I decided that I wanted to get all the guests together and make a mini ep with everyone.

This mini episode ended up being harder than any editing I've ever done. (I'm no expert, tell me how I did)

I present to you Private Dicks, the story episode.

If you've been paying attention to the side story going on, you'll love this.

Thanks everyone that was on the first season

Cast:

Tali Hall as herself

Kristy Lynn Janssen as herself

Celeste Brown as herself

Ben Park as himself

Rando McKracken as officer Virgil

Andrea Calkins as you know who

Cole Blenner as OJ

Daniel Boone as the landlord

Richard Getz dick number 3

RJ McCarthy dick number 1

Beau Janssen as herself

Sarah Dingus as ???

And Bob Motta as our lawyer

Everyone improvised their lines and it was fun to push you all into acting!!

Officer Virgil comes to arrest Abigail.

She isn't there, so he gets the Dicks to solve a case.

The mysterious watcher house.

Is it haunted?

Or are the Broaddusses just attention seeking morons?

Or, is there a neighbour out there just fucking with them to an epic degree?

The dicks know, we solved this one faster than the usual solve speed with a case of this nature.

It's Christmas time in Dickston.

Yeah, that's where they live, Dickston.

So it's their first Christmas Case!

Richard brings the other two Dicks a tale about Arthur's Alliteration, the authenticity of the famous Faulkner photo and a huge UFO flap during the holiday season of 1964 in the south of England.

The boys complain to Richard about not getting paid and Abigail spends holidays on a beach.  And we have a special guest with some special holiday spirit.

MERRY CHRISTMAS IN AUGUST!!!

This week, our land lord Boone, wants his rent.  The Private Dicks are out of money and are about to lose everything.  We should have millions in gold, what is going on with our profits?  I bet Abigail would know.

With no active cases, RJ brings to the table the tale of Christopher Dorner a disgraced LA police officer who wanted revenge on the police department that disgraced him in the first place.

Was it for good reason?

Can he be considered justified?

Was this more nefarious on the part of the LAPD than they want to admit?

While the dicks take a crack at that, they learn about his youth, his shooting skills and just how in the hell Dave Chappelle and Larry David fit into this.

This week the Dicks are visited by Celeste Brown from Unethical Podcast.

She is their boss and demands they solve the mystery as to whom DB Cooper really was.

I think this might be the first time we had any type of difficulty.  Not much though.

Only because Richard brought about 50 suspects to the table on this one.

We learned so much.

But the solve is going to blow your mind and it is our best as of yet.

We did this episode before the certain streamer did and let me tell you, our solve is better.
