  • Thor Explorations says Douta-West discovery adds gold ounces for upcoming PFS
Thor Explorations Ltd (TSX-V:THX, AIM:THX, OTC:THXPF) CEO Segun Lawson talked with Proactive's Stephen Gunnion about progress at the Douta gold project in Senegal, with a specific focus on the Douta-West licence. Lawson outlined that Thor acquired the licence a year ago and has since been advancing drilling efforts there. He confirmed the company has now made a fresh discovery, which includes oxide, free-flowing, recoverable gold material.
“These are wide intersections between 12 and 20 metres wide, with very good grades between 1.3 and just over 2 grams per ton,” Lawson said. He added that the anomaly runs for approximately two kilometres and could be a significant contributor to the overall economics of the project.
Lawson noted that the next step is to fully drill the strike length of the discovery zone. This will allow the company to include the newly identified ounces into its mine plan and potentially enhance the preliminary feasibility study (PFS). He also highlighted that the company is not pursuing exploration for academic purposes, but rather with a clear intent to build and deliver value to shareholders.
Lawson confirmed that following the completion of the drilling campaign, Thor will provide an updated timeline for the PFS.

  • Cordiant Digital Infrastructure Management chair on capital strategy & growth focus
Cordiant Digital Infrastructure Ltd (LSE:CORD) Chairman Steven Marshall talked with Proactive's Stephen Gunnion about the company’s capital allocation strategy and growth outlook, particularly in the context of rising interest rates and macroeconomic pressures.
Marshall highlighted how Cordiant Digital has strategically invested in cash-generative assets within two of Europe’s fastest-growing economies—Poland and the Czech Republic. “We can actually buy small bolt-on businesses, we can invest in organic growth, which actually is at a much lower cost than actually the buyback rates that we're getting,” Marshall said.
The company has balanced yield and reinvestment, maintaining a dividend yield just under 5%, which is currently covered 1.8 times by free cash flow. Marshall explained the business has focused on acquiring quality mid-market assets with strong management teams and brand value.
Looking ahead, Cordiant Digital aims to continue growing its portfolio through bolt-on acquisitions and organic investments, such as expanding distributed antenna broadband networks in Prague and Warsaw, and further developing data centre and mobile tower infrastructure in Poland.
Marshall indicated the company is unlikely to pursue additional share buybacks in the short term, preferring to direct capital towards growth opportunities offering better long-term returns.

  • ACG Metals simplifies structure and boosts liquidity with warrant purchases
ACG Metals Ltd (LSE:ACG, OTC:ACGAF) chairman and CEO Artem Volynets talked with Proactive about the company’s recent completion of a share tender offer and its broader corporate clean-up strategy. Volynets explained that removing 75% of outstanding warrants marked one of the final steps in transitioning away from ACG Metals' SPAC origins. “We have removed the massive warrant overhang, which essentially was one of the last things remaining from our SPAC childhood,” he said.
This simplification effort comes alongside previous milestones, including the acquisition of the producing Gediktepe mine in Turkey and a US$200 million bond raise to finance its brownfield expansion. According to Volynets, the sulfide expansion project at Gediktepe is progressing well.
The company also plans to switch its trading currency from US Dollars to Sterling, aiming to improve accessibility for local investors. Looking ahead, ACG Metals expects to appoint new brokers shortly to broaden its institutional and retail investor reach. Volynets highlighted that these efforts could help the share price move from its current 0.2x price-to-NAV level closer to 0.8x, in line with comparable companies.

  • Terra Metals produces 3 high-grade concentrates at Dante Reefs
Terra Metals Ltd managing director and CEO Thomas Line talked with Proactive about the company’s successful Phase 1 metallurgical test work at its Dante Reefs project. Line confirmed that Terra Metals has produced three high-grade concentrates using simple and low-cost techniques — flotation and magnetic separation — from a single composite sample.
“We produced three high grade concentrates,” Line said. “One of those is a copper precious metal sulfide concentrate. It has high grade copper at 28% copper, 17g per ton gold, and over 20g per ton platinum group metals.”
The second product is a high-grade vanadium concentrate at 1.81% V₂O₅, which Line said exceeded many global benchmarks. The third is a high-purity titanium ilmenite concentrate grading about 40% TiO₂, a strong result from hard rock sources.
These outputs point to Dante Reefs as a potential globally competitive source of copper, vanadium, and titanium products. Line added that despite these promising results, the work is still preliminary and part of a larger two-phase process.
Phase 2 test work is already underway, aimed at optimising recoveries and concentrate quality. Additionally, Terra Metals expects to deliver a maiden resource estimate, leveraging 17,000m of drilling completed last year.

  • GinsGlobal Tech Megatrend ETF: diversified, AI-driven, and delivering strong returns
Anthony Ginsberg, CEO of GinsGlobal Index Fund, recently spoke with Steve Darling from Proactive to discuss the structure, performance, and strategic advantages of the GinsGlobal Tech Megatrend ETF. He highlighted three core strengths of the fund: its equally weighted structure, international diversification, and targeted exposure to high-growth technology sectors such as AI, robotics, cloud computing, and cybersecurity.
Unlike traditional Nasdaq-style funds that are often dominated by a few large-cap stocks, the Tech Megatrend ETF avoids over-concentration, with its largest holdings representing only about 9% of the total portfolio weight. The fund also offers broad international exposure, with 60% of holdings based in the U.S., 10% in China, and approximately 20% across broader Asia. This balanced approach extends across eight key subthemes, including digital entertainment, gene therapy, and social media.
The ETF has delivered a 17% return over the past year, with strong performance from companies such as BYD and Alibaba. Ginsberg noted that major mergers and acquisitions in the tech sector, including Microsoft’s $72 billion Activision deal and Google Cloud’s expansion into cybersecurity, are further driving momentum. He also pointed to reshoring trends that are benefiting automation and AI-driven businesses, positioning the fund to capitalize on these market shifts.
In terms of valuation, Ginsberg emphasized that the ETF maintains an average price-to-earnings ratio of 18 to 19 times future earnings, which he considers reasonable compared to historical tech market bubbles.
Ginsberg concluded by highlighting the increasing role of AI in digital entertainment and the ongoing convergence of major tech trends within the ETF’s portfolio. With its diversified, forward-looking investment strategy, the GinsGlobal Tech Megatrend ETF continues to present a compelling opportunity for investors seeking exposure to the next wave of technological innovation.

  • Leading Edge Materials to reapply for strategic project status as Norra Kärr development advances
Leading Edge Materials CEO Kurt Budge joined Steve Darling from Proactive provided an update on the company’s Norra Kärr Heavy Rare Earth Elements Project, including a decision on its application for Strategic Project status under the EU Critical Raw Materials Act. While Norra Kärr was not included in the EU’s first list of Strategic Projects, the company remains committed to the initiative and will reapply once the next call for applications is announced.
Despite this outcome, Leading Edge Materials has continued to make significant progress at Norra Kärr. Since submitting its application in August 2024, the company has reached a key milestone by submitting a new application for an Exploitation Concession—a 25-year mining lease—and remains focused on exploring innovative pathways for early and sustainable production.
Budge also shared updates on the company’s Rapid Development Plan, which is designed to accelerate the extraction process and shorten the timeline to production of heavy rare earth element (HREE) concentrate and nepheline syenite. A key aspect of this strategy is a phased development approach, starting with a small-scale operation to enable early deposit access, generate initial revenue from nepheline syenite sales, and stockpile HREE concentrate for future processing. This approach is intended to minimize both financial risk and environmental impact while establishing a strong foundation for long-term operations.
Budge also discussed ongoing testwork on nepheline syenite and aegirine, which is focused on mineralogy, chemical composition, and leachate chemistry. These findings will be crucial in assessing market opportunities, including potential demand and pricing scenarios. The company is actively exploring higher-value markets, such as functional filler products, where prices have ranged between US$100 and US$500 per tonne.
Given that nepheline syenite contributed 11% of total revenue in the 2021 Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA), the company sees significant upside potential in its future economic contributions.
To support this evolving strategy, Leading Edge Materials is preparing to release an updated PEA financial model in Q2 2025, incorporating revised price assumptions and a full review of all economic inputs.
