  • Anteris Technologies and v2vmedtech achieve concept lock for new TEER system
Anteris Technologies Ltd (ASX:AVR, OTC:AMEUF) CEO Wayne Paterson sits down with Jonathan Jackson in the Proactive studio to discuss how the company and its technology partner v2vmedtech, inc have reached the concept lock stage on the first phase of development for the next generation Transcatheter Edge to Edge Repair (TEER) system for mitral and tricuspid valve regurgitation.
The two structural heart companies are developing the new TEER system for patients with mitral and tricuspid valve disease, where damaged valves cause blood to leak between the ventricles and atriums of the heart. TEER is becoming the primary intervention for this disease but current systems have limitations affecting procedural outcomes or patient eligibility. Anteris's new VClip™ aims to address these needs and provide better patient outcomes.
Paterson noted how Dr Vinayak Bapat, v2vmedtech’s chief medical officer, highlighted the importance of the concept lock as proof of concept data, noting rapid progress due to collaboration with engineers and leading interventional cardiologists. Approximately 2.5% of the US population has valvular heart disease, with significant mortality rates. The Baker Heart and Diabetes Research Institute estimates up to 600,000 Australians were living with heart valve disease in 2021, with many undiagnosed.
This is a major milestone for advancing VClip™ towards a first-in-human study.
Anteris is also developing DurAVR™, a transcatheter heart valve for treating aortic stenosis, designed with bioengineered tissue to mimic a healthy aortic valve's performance.

  • Artemis Resources advances toward drilling at Mt Marie and Lulu Creek
Artemis Resources Ltd (ASX:ARV, AIM:ARV, OTCQB:ARTTF) managing director George Ventouras joins Jonathan Jackson in the Proactive studio to discuss upcoming drilling programs at the Mt Marie lithium and Lulu Creek gold projects in Western Australia. A heritage survey over the project areas is set to commence on July 3 to address any uncleared regions, facilitating the regulatory clearance necessary for drilling operations.
Ventouras highlighted the high prospectivity of the Lulu Creek and Mt Marie projects for their respective resources. Following the completion and reporting of these surveys, the drilling of these targets will proceed.
Mt Marie's potential is supported by multiple rock chip assays showing over 4% lithium oxide, comparable to Azure Minerals Ltd’s Andover project, which has an exploration target of 100 to 240 million tonnes at 1% to 1.5% lithium oxide.
Lulu Creek is within a structurally prospective gold corridor, with prior drilling revealing results of 12 metres at 0.42 g/t gold, including 2 metres at 1.62 g/t from 34 metres. Artemis has already identified four prospects - Sing Six, Sing Well, Orpheus and Lulu Creek.
Artemis' technical team will finalise the drill programs as soon as the heritage surveys are complete.

  • Alderan Resources confirms new copper-gold prospects
Alderan Resources Ltd (ASX:AL8 OTCMKTS: ALDRF) managing director Scott Caithness joins Jonathan Jackson in the Proactive studio after confirming the company has identified new targets at the New Years Copper-Gold Prospect in Utah, USA.
Portable XRF assays of soil samples from the New Years target revealed four significant copper anomalies with grades up to 0.33%, against a background grade of 60ppm. The New Years prospect anomaly spans 400 x 250 metres with grades ranging from 120ppm to 0.33% copper. Anomaly 1, with grades up to 615ppm, is 700 metres west of New Years and aligns with a magnetic low within the composite New Years magnetic anomaly. Anomalies 2 and 3, with grades up to 444ppm and 524ppm respectively, are in the centre and southeast corner of the sampled grid.
High copper assays in soils delineate the zone between the Cactus Mine and New Years, with grades up to 0.7%, coinciding with the location of historical hole NYM-1 which intersected 42.7 metres at 0.8% copper from the surface. Drill site permitting is underway for a Stage 1 four-hole (500 metres) diamond drilling program, expected to begin in late June-early July 2024.
Historical drill intersections at New Years include 13.7 metres at 2.32% copper within 19.8 metres at 1.67% from 22.9 metres downhole (NY-6) and 10.7 metres at 1.52% copper within 27.4 metres at 0.85% from surface (NY-2). No exploration has been conducted at New Years since the 1960s.
The soil sampling program has demonstrated that soils will be effective in prioritising 12 Cactus ‘look-a-like’ magnetic anomalies identified from 3-D inversion modelling of a drone magnetic survey. The prospect has strong potential for both primary and near-surface oxide copper mineralisation.

  • Elixir Energy Nomgon IX CBM pilot on track for gas production by late 2024
Elixir Energy Ltd (ASX:EXR OTC:ELXPF) managing director Neil Young joins Jonathan Jackson in the Proactive studio to discuss progress at its fully owned Nomgon IX Coal Bed Methane (CBM) Production Sharing Contract (PSC) in the South Gobi Basin of Mongolia. The Mongolian Pilot Plant has produced more than 73,000 barrels of water since its inception, with current daily water production stabilising at approximately 280 barrels per day, the highest recorded from the Nomgon-9 and Nomgon-10 wells. The CBM field is experiencing a steady reservoir pressure decrease at a rate of around 5 psi per month. If this trend persists, gas desorption breakthrough is expected before the end of 2024.
Production operations are concentrated on water management, with small volumes of gas from the annulus not being flared to maintain system stability. Plans for two additional pilot wells in 2024 have been deemed unnecessary for aiding gas desorption. Misting devices will soon be added to the water disposal pond to enhance evaporation.
Young, expressed satisfaction with the stable water production and understanding of reservoir pressure decline, anticipating gas production by late 2024. He credited the Production and Operations Team in Mongolia for their safe and environmentally responsible efforts in achieving this milestone.
